The mileage decreases because you vary speed more and can't maintain it at the speed you want to go. I'm guessing when you drove more conservatively with your friend the speed was more constant.

ahhh...how true. Plus with the cold air there is less chance of combustion by compression. Also, with cold air you get more O2 molecules in your Combustion Chamber so it aids in making more power. :D

When practising stoppies, find an empty or not very full car park with an area where you can make a few attempts on one run! Slowly apply the brake at slow speeds, around 15-25 km/h, NOT INSTANTLY! For your first couple of runs, try slowing down to an almost stop, and then letting the brake go, to get used to keeping your balance after youve let go. After that apply the front break slowly until its fully loaded on the front and go at it more aggresive as you gather more confidence!
