There are some common pronounciation mistakes. Beta is pronounced Veeta. Gamma is pronounced Yamma. Delta is pronounced "Thelta"("th" is pronounced like the article "the"). Φ, X, Ψ are pronounced Fee, Hee, Psee. Iota is pronounced "Yota".

Before a fraternity or sorority has their probate we have any where from 1-5months to learn it completely and we say it the way we were taught some eventually get better at pronunciation and some dont. it takes time...

I'm not criticizing their accents, eg how they say heavier Ts or more open As, as I know that that's part of their american/english accents. I was commenting on how instead of "yotah" or "taf", which are both not foreign sounds at all to american ears, they say "ah-eeh-oh-tah" and "tah-oo", which is just pure ignorance.
