i learned that Baryshnikov suffered an injury to his knee several years ago (maybe more than that). So he can no longer do ballet. :{

He seems to still be pretty good at his age. He'll be 62 in a month. :)

anch'io ho potuto assistere a questo spettacolo stupendo al politeama assieme al mio amore ,e soprattutto vedere per la prima volta uno dei grandi mostri della storia della danza,il grande baryshnikov! che non sembra avere per niente 60 anni. Grandiiiiiiiiiiii

@pediatrapaola beati voi che avete vissuto in tempi favolosi e migliori di questo,quando l'arte ha avuto le sue perle più belle e uniche.

Purtroppo sono dell'87 e perle di quel genere è rarissimo che rinascano.,quindi è stato un onore per me vederne una come Baryshnikov ancora così lucente.

Ahhhh che darei per vedere anche Nureyev... :(

just saw them perform today and it was beautiful...ethereal! i have to admit i didn't fully understand the story line, but it was enough to watch the way they moved their bodies and how they looked at each other. dance can create a whole other reality inside the small space of a theatre. damn.
