What better music have you ever heard? I love grunge music the most, but I like other genres of rock. But Garbage has everything I like about music. I have yet to come across something I didn't like about their sound. Whether you can classify it as grunge or alternative or whatever, it's always good. They pretty much set the standard of good rock music today. And the fact that they have a smokin' hot redhead doesn't hurt. Just a genuine, real, raw, talented group.
Great Documentary! Fits Right Up there with the Newer One from Absolute Garbage!! I Love Garbage as Like myself, We are Different and are Fucking Proud of it!! Actually, My Favorite Bands are Different Like Me. From Garbage to Blondie (#1 baby) to No Doubt to KISS!!! Shirley Manson is The Best Lead Frontwoman since Debbie Harry (The Greatest Ever). In Many Ways, Shirley and Garbage along with Gwen Stefani and No Doubt are the 2nd Comings of Blondie! Anyway, can't wait for the new album and Tour!
Fantastic doc, but a little too much insinuation (no it flat out claims) grunge was created by Vig/Nirvana and Garbage started noise rock. Huh...come on. The band would never claim any of that. Sound Garden and My Bloody Valentine & Curve, respectively? It's just a little bit too much pressing of the meme this happened like in a vacuum, or something. Same reason why U2's sound was changing around this time: some similar influences. Garbage is very unique, no doubt, and I luv em to death.
I realize that most don't particularly like the direction of Beautiful Garbage but it is the best if you really listened to it. Not to take anything away from the first 2 but that one is just awesome and their best creative work to date. We need more of Beautiful Garbage.
why does she think she's ugly...to be honest...she's one of the most beautiful, exotic, sensual people I could ever want to meet...it makes me sad that she thinks of herself like that :-/
Thank you so much for uploading this! I remember seeing this on VH1 a long long time ago and I've always wanted to rewatch it. I love Garbage so much and it is so unbelievable to me how insecure Shirley was, she is so gorgeous but I love that about her, it shows us that rock stars are human, they have their insecurities and problems. The way she poured all of that into the music is amazing!
Thank you very much for uploading this - I always respected Shirley and her work and talent she put into Garbage, her personally and the band as well. This put things into an even more precise perspective for me, thanks. ^^
Wow... I never knew ANY of that about Shirley... well, the cutting thing I knew about, but not the rest of it. She's come along way... and I still love Garbage.
hearing some of things Shirley says, makes me feel less strange about my own honesty about my own band.

Being grown up in the 90s I can grant you Garbage was the most prominent and important rock/alternative band. I miss 90s music so much.
