Sorry - I did not reply I haven't checked the comments in awile. The legs are attached to a flat piece of black wood
that screws onto the bottom of the harp. There are available three sets of legs - I use the eight inch legs. The harp can be played without the stand (stool) but the legged stand adds stabiliity and put the harp at exactly the correct height for seated playiing. -- Hank
The harp is a Ravenna 34 model made by Dusty Strings in Seattle, WA The chapel where I was playing has excellent acoustics but the Dusty Strings Ravenna 34 is one of best sounding, and most affordable of Lever Harps.
Loved your playing.
Could I clarify a few points with regard to the Ravenna 34? I have visited the Morely Harps website and I am slightly confused.
Do the legs detach and can also be used as a stool?
Is the leg/stool function above SEPARATE to the stand which extends and is adjustable for height preferance?
I prefer the two tone colour of your harp but I saw Paula Smith play an all black Ravenna 34.
Please respond if you have a minute.
