Nice review. Some constructive criticism would be to let the viewer's brain have a breather (you're constantly presenting more information without pause). I love the enthusiasm though.

This game is terrible. The warriors have too many hit point it doesn't make it harder just longer the linear level design sucks the story pacing is off kilter, play as Kai is super clunky as the analogous stick sensitivity could be higher. The quick time events are not the answer to finishing a boss battle I know its not the only game to do so but any game which uses them gets a big no from me. I hate the fact that if you die in a boss battle you have to go to the very start of that stage!
@MoMember88 I think its paced wonderfully, the characters are all fantastic, the music, voice acting, and facial animations are all great. I dont agree that enemies take too many hits. Its all about switching around the 3 weapons to kill them faster, and hitting them while they are down. As for the rest of what you said, those are all very small complaints and would never make me hate a game just because of them.

@JP8940 I think it's worth buying. When I first got my PS3 back in 2007, I went to the video store to rent a game. I noticed Heavenly Sword and thought "why not, the commercial looked cool" and so I got home and started playing. Was hooked instantly. I bought the game not long after. I still play it through twice a year. In my personal opinion... it's the most underrated game of this gen. Although it's short... it's great fun and it's made very well. You should pick it up. It's cheap now.

Really? You hated Enslaved? It looks so good and I played the demo! Either way, I was planning on going out to my local gamestop and getting both Heavenly and Enslaved since both have terrific graphic appeal, voice acting, and emotion. But it's funny how both are considered pretty short, short being 6-8 hours.
I own this game as well. Rented it when I first got my ps3 3 years ago. I normally wouldn't rent anything I didn't already know of but I took a chance on this considering there wasn't many games on ps3 at the time. I LOVED IT, was a fantastic game, bought it about 6 months ago when I got lucky enough to find it in BestBuy brand new. The game is underrated and they apparently never made a sequal because the first was soo expensive and they didn't make enough back to justify another.
@contracts47 Actually the developers went Multiplatform after this game, they work with Capcom and made a game called Enslaved, and are currently making the New Devil May Cry. Thats why there was never a sequel, but the Heavenly Sword name is owned by Sony, so if another one is ever made, it would be only for PS3. The Devs are named Ninja Theory, and I dont really like them anymore. I hated Enslaved and the new DMC looks so dumb.

Nice to see such a late review for this game. I bought it on day 1 back in '07 and to this day it is one of my favorite games of this generation, regardless of how short it is. I feel that the animations and production value still has not been equaled on consoles. Criminally under rated and under appreciated.

@julioa350 thanks for the comment. About the speed thing, Youtube just increased the maximum upload time to 15 minutes, so Ill have more time to speak. Before, as you can see I was almost always hitting the time limit or going over it, so I couldnt post, so I needed to cut out all of the small dead zones where I wasnt talking, which makes me sound like im talking alot faster.

Oh i was talking about the production value being th best. I totally forgot about the 11 minute limit man. I really don't think its the "fast talking" that got to me, but the editing between some sentences. Sometimes the break seemed to short between sentences. Really enjoy your stuff though. I dont like this game cause there is a lead girl wanna be Kratos. The game plays well and all but this girl wants to be a man, pfffffff! get out my face with that.

@TyrannosaurusPerez The way she acts and talks is nothing like Kratos, her back story isnt like Kratos's either. She just so happens to have a skirt just like Kratos...which I hate to break it to you, is women's attire

@TypingBlank ...Epic Win;D lol "women's attire" People should just Give Heavenly Sword a Chance....I personally love both GoW & HS, their both Diffrent in a way that ties them together but keeps things intresting...Plus, Heavenly Swords Attention to detail and Voice acting is Outstanding:D...It makesyou connected in a way to all Characters ( I Love Kai)-__-..Idk..It's just a Awesome game, that will be my Favorite... untill they make a 2nd one:D

As far as production value goes, you make some of the best videos on youtube. A little criticism though about how fast you talk. Slow down a bit and your reviews could be some of the best. I really enjoy your stuff

@TheWhitePenny As you can see this video borders the 11 minute time limit on youtube, If I talked any slower these reviews would never come to youtube and would stay on my website. Also, you said my reviews are some of the best (Thank you), but If I slow down they could be some of the best...?

Oh i was talking about the production value being th best. I totally forgot about the 11 minute limit man. I really don't think its the "fast talking" that got to me, but the editing between some sentences. Sometimes the break seemed to short between sentences. Really enjoy your stuff though. Keep up the good work

every game uses element of a diffrent game and i hate all those ppl who say oh *name of hack and slash game* is a god of war rip off its just so damn stupid it could have unique element but they look past it and say its a GOW clone (im pretty sure DMC was b4 GOW so GOW is just a DMC rip off if im right which im probably not)

You do some of the best reviews I have seen on here. Your very detailed about the games. Great review. I agree with you about calling every hack and slash game is a GOW clone. Every game could be a clone of a previous game and so forth. Your the first I heard on here say that.

Great review and score! I heard a lot of people complain that this game is too short, but does every game need to be 60 hours long? I hope there is a sequel; this game is outstanding!
