@CARGUY514 yeah it was a B&M Shiftkit, it came with the car as the original trans that was in the car blew 5 miles after I bought it. The guy who sold it to me was super nice and installed one he had in it for only an extra $100 that had the shiftkit in it, had it for 18000 miles beating on it nonstop before I sold it.
@RicerEater1978 pretty much. had flowmaster muffler, hypertech chip(junk), K&N filter. The rest was just suspension, Global West Subframe connectors, 9 bolt rear, kyb struts, 4 wheel discs.
Ran 14.5@98mph, cant expect much more from a worn out smokey 350 tuned port.
@RicerEater1978 chip was in it when I got it, it honestly doesnt do much. The best bet is to buy a custom burnt one, as the name brand production ones aren't allowed to be aggressive enough to do any good, not to mention its usually more expensive. Check thirdgen(dot)org for people who could burn you a custom chip and more info. The TPI setup is pretty limiting but you can get into high 13's relatively easily, after that it gets pretty hard to do much more.
@Bbdrew hmm, interesting. im kinda new to injection systems. i know how they work, but all of my experience is in carburetion. i think ive found a pretty promising chip. seems like this is going to be a fun car
@szubik6745 sorry Moptop just told me what you were asking.
I'm not sure how to convert the gas/petrol efficiency to your metric terms however I averaged about 17 miles per gallon in the city and 25 miles per gallon on the highway
Ozzy Osbourne's Mississippi Queen, and thanks - I just sold it a few days ago.
It had a lot of issues but was a very fun car.
You can find them really cheap, they're a great first muscle car.
I only payed $2700 for mine and was a low mileage 350tpi, low mileage tranny, a relatively good body and i put 18,000 miles on it in 6 months and it never broke down - very reliable.
A decent 305 can be found for even 1k-1.5k - the 305 tbi motors are slow but complete tanks.
Awsome. Love them ponti's and chevys all da way! Gotta 88 bird wide body kit and 350 chevy corvette motor. Never toped it out but shits a beastt posi all fucked up tho :( cant wait to get my 68 gto this summer. Got a 454. Chevy big block for it heheh. Peacee!
My V6 mustang would of stayed ahead of a v6 eclipse, it wouldn't of smoked it but it could stay ahead of one.
My firebird will but bus-lengths on a 00-05 Eclipse. A 305 TPI would even walk one. Unless the Eclipse is heavily modded/boosted it wont stand a chance.
beautiful car man! How much did you pay for the engine swap? I have a 1991 trans am convertible that I'm doing a partial restoration on now. Check out my videos!
Yeah well mine definitely isnt perfect. It has some rust, nothing major mainly surface that needs fixed. Only one actual bad spot in the drivers rear rocker.
I need a new drivers floor pan VERY bad. Also smokes a bit from valve seals. Need a tranny mount as well. However for 2700 it was a good deal I believe.
exhaust/intake/smog delete/gears/custom chip will be your best bang for the buck mods.
However a 305 is much more limited in its potential than a 350. Most parts are interchangable though asides from a chip for example, so perhaps just get what you can that'll fit a 350 too and then some day swap a 350 in and you keep the mods you spent money on.
Assuming it's still a TPI or Carb'd - whichever 305 you are getting and the 350 you'd get.
If you want a real F Body you have to go with a 93 on. You're smoking crack if you think that slow ass TPI is smoking New Edge GTs, or even Fox Bodies for that matter! lol
tpi if done right can produce some aweomse numbers, ive stopmed several new edge cobras in my car and its a tpi. true 4th gens are much faster stock especially ls1, but with about the 2800 ive put in my car so far i walk stock ls1's and gt's with no trouble at all, and ive got traction issues
ricer? haha i fucking hate ricers so you can call me one if you want but i know the truth... you cant put 2000 grand into a 01 gt and get 450 rwhp plain an simple... give me your mods
haller? wtf are you some wannabe punk middle schooler?
I did bring up the slow crap, because that shit in your vid IS SLOW. Mine is slow also compared to actual fast cars - however mines still way faster than your dad's pile.
Kinda sad ain't it - my near 20 year old car has an aged TPI motor that I ended up picking all up for $2700 that before I even did anything - would walk a new edge GT
HEy thanks for your comment on my 92 TA vid. thats cool you get the 350 engine in it and the acceleration is great: 0-60 in approx 6 sec! Most 3rd gen Firebirds we have here in Switzerland are from 91-92! That's because it was the end of the 3rd gen and in the USA people were waiting for the 4th gen, so they decided to export most 91-92 Firebirds to countries outside north america. We don't have that much firebirds from 82-89 here.
It actually goes quite a bit faster 0-60 if I don't baby the launch so much + I was shifting it before it was out of room so it's about .5 - 1 second faster than it was in this vid 0-60.
And its completely different here in US lol - I prefer the 82-90 body style but I still love my 91 because there aren't many 91/92's and it's pretty rare :)
I also found out I was shifting it way early. I have no tach and was trying not to redline it. I let it hit the rev limiter a couple times the other day to get an idea what it sounds like when its at the end and I shifted about 2 seconds early each shift in this one. I'll make a new video soon
Nice, is the motor mostly stock, or are there mods that you gained horsepower from? I've been doing body work on my camaro i bought in june it's gonna be ready to be painted soon, painting it metallic blue, i'd like to put white racing stripes down it too
It's pretty stock yes. It has a intake / chip / 3.23 gears(part of ws6 package) / mild cam / globel west subframe connectors / flowmaster catback with some type of aftermarket manifold - don't know what kind.
I haven't really had any real races or been to a track yet. Only race I've had worthwhile was a 02 GT that had an intake & exhaust so I'm hoping to run a low 14 - if I'm perfect a high 13 but thats doubtful.
Enjoy the camaro, I wanted a camaro more but I got a good deal, and it's sexy :P
Pretty good

What you got to back up you talk buddy?
I already have raced and beat New Edge GT's.
Look at the numbers you idiot;
They weigh 3300lbs and have 260 at the crank.
My car if it were bone stock would weigh 3100lbs with 245 at the crank - wow a nearly 10 years older car overall balancing with the mustang.
Now take in my mods / weight reduction - my car weighs around 3180 with me in the car and estimated puts out 260-270 at the crank.
If you don't know the facts - don't start shit

My gas/time is too valuable to be wasted on racing a typical piece of shit mustang.
I saw that Mustang's engine bay - just a typical 4.6L
Don't try to scare me with pointless shit. It's a slow 4.6l
