  • I had Two OP subs that were very loud and shook the car like hell but couldnt really feel it. I want a system that i can feel the heck out of in my chest when playing music. I hear the MTX 9500 is not bad and this rockford fosgate is good too. What kind of sub do you suggest for my need? Thanks!

  • @xxxkhafanxxx The MTX 9500 and the Rockford T2 are both going to be able to give you pulse-pounding bass. We would recommend ether one for you.

  • Will 2 12" Rockford fosgates go go with 2 square 12" kicker solo l3?

  • I just ordered 2 of these subs my setup is 2 rockford p1000-1bd amps, 1 to each sub. My voice is a rockford 400-4 amp. In bass do you think this will hit hard?

  • @bubbamoreno This is looking like a well paired set-up. You should be setting yourself up for powerful bass.

  • this or a w6 or w7

  • @proballerbiker The JL W7 will probably have an edge over the T2 or the W6. However, all 3 of these subs are an excellent option.

  • sealed and ported? should this guy be explaining subs if he thinks that you can have a sealed and a ported box at the same time? lol

  • I might get 4 of the 15inch version

  • Thanks man

  • Just reminds me of a W7...

  • DO YOU THINK 2 1O" PIONEERS CHAMPION SERIES IS BETTER THAN 2 12" KICKER CVR?

  • @MrELKICKER This will all depend on what kind of sound you are looking for. If you are leaning towards more of an accurate, punchy type bass, then going with the 10" pioneers is going to be more ideal. If you are looking for a deeper, louder type of bass, then going with the 12" CVR's will be the right choice for you.

  • Yo i have rf 1000bd amp. I wanna power this sub. Will it bang or what? Will i need a better alternator or battery. The amp dims my headlights as is running at 4 ohms on two hx2 12" subs.

  • @Sammy31Dee From the info I found the HX2 subs each are 1000W RMS if this is so then the amp will not be strong enough to power two of them. Your lights are dimming because your are pushing more than your battery can handle. If you want to push just one T2 wit that amp that will be fine but you will still need to upgrade your car battery to stop the dimming.

  • @SonicElectronixTV Remember Rf amps follow the CEA-2006 industry standards which means there amps give the true rating and a bit more it makes 1000wrms but on the birth sheet it will show +-

    772 Watts x 1 @ 4-Ohms

    1299 Watts x 1 @ 2-Ohms

    1395 Watts x 1 @ 1-Ohm

  • niceee they stepped it up

  • To my understanding there are two main type of subwoofers, the punch, and the power, one offering good lows, and the other punch. Would I be best to have one of each to offer the full range of sound or not. The enclosures I have a custom made 12" bazooka tubes; they take up the whole boot of my 96 Nissan Maxima.

  • @slapnut892 Well yeah you could do that but I really would not suggest doing so. Really the woofers can be manipulated to produce whatever frequencies you want. The enclosure, your amplifier settings, dampening, ports all that stuff will take a major roll on the final sound reproduction of your woofers. I am not a big fan of Bazooka they are just not strong enough for my liking and not precise enough.

  • @SonicElectronixTV What sort of enclosure would you recommend

  • @slapnut892 That depends on what sorta of sound reproduction you are looking for. If you want longer elongated lower frequencies go with a ported enclosure. If you want bass that will be more precise and accurate go with the sealed enclosure. Both enclosure will have this woofer perform amazingly it really just comes down to personal preference.

  • Would i be better off buying a ported box for these or attempting to build my own? I plan on getting 2 of these and dont really know that much about cu ft and boxes. I just know i have 16"H 30"W space in my trunk, any suggestions?

  • @xFestYx Well making your own is always best because you can tune it specifically to the subwoofers. However this is not easy and must be done specific to the manufactures dimensions. If you want deeper bass go with a ported enclousre. If you want tighter, quicker responding bass go with a sealed enclosure. Our features and specs show you the range of box volume for both sealed and ported. As long as the enclosure is withint those ranges you will be just fine.

  • hey how do these compare to the orion hcca12 subs

  • @nalder69 the orion is a competition subwoofer while the t2 is more of a daily subwoofer.

  • i heard that the L7 kicker is better than the T2..is that true??

  • @TrionJuggernaut Well I would say that one is better than the other both are great subwoofers but provide different types of bass. The T2 is able to handle much more power than the L7 but the L7 offers more surface area. A square subwoofer will give you a deeper bass than a round subwoofer. So it comes down to what type of sound you are looking for. If I had to pick one of the two I would pick the T2 because it can handle more power and has some amazing technologies, also I prefer round subs.

  • @SonicElectronixTV thanks alot..btw y u don't review digital designs, mmats pro audio, treo, atomic, earthquake n polk audio??

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks alot..btw y don't u review digital designs, mmats pro audio, atomic, re audio, earthquake, treo n polk audio??

  • @TrionJuggernaut Some of those brands are in our line up of reviews and videos. So keep an eye out in the next couple of months for some new videos.

  • @TrionJuggernaut .. dd is ok as for earthquake and treo are not in the number 1 catagory ....rockfordfosgate will out perform them ... dd is loud, but i hate their designs , they look so old and out dated ....... ground zero and re audio is also good :)... i have my rf subs since 2003 , and they still slam ,,,, atomic is like power acoustic, in other words cheap ass brand ,,, i slay atomic with my 2 rf subs already ..

  • Ok going to purchase 2 Rockford Fosgate t2d212 of your site can you hook me up with a coupon code? :D

  • planning on running 2 of them at 4 ohms

  • @DorckWoW You could use a Rockford Fosgate CP amplifier to get better results at a higher impedance. Running them at 4 ohms would slightly underpower them, but you could use an amplifier like the Rockford T1500-1bdCP. If you run two Dual 4 Ohm subs back to 4 Ohms you could run 1000W of RMS power into the subs. If you want to overpower each woofer by 50W of RMS power then go with the Dual 2 Ohm models and run them back to 2 Ohms. You could also use two Dual 4 Ohm models wired to 1 Ohm

  • @DorckWoW put up a vid lets see it hit

    i got 2 12" T2's running on a T2500-1bdCP

    check out my channel

  • hmm what kind amp you would you need to power this these beast?

  • @DorckWoW Were you planning on running one or two of them? For a single Dual 2 Ohm 12" model you can use an amplifier like the Hifonics BRZ1200.1D. For two Dual 4 Ohm models you could use a Hifonics BRZ2400.1.

  • What amp would you recommended to go with this sub? am think of getting 2 of them. Should i also run an extra battery or two?

  • @upstatesureno831 You could use the Rockford Fosgate T2500-1BdCP, or the Kicker ZX2500.1. Both amplifiers will work perfectly along with the two Rockford T2's, and they'll be bumpin' hard and clean! I'd recommend an extra battery when running anything over 1500W of RMS. Since you'd be running around 2500W, I'd recommend a battery like the Kinetik HC 2400, or the SHURiKEN SK-BT120.

  • efhkbjsaf sorry i was wiping the jizz of my keyboard

  • @colossus57300 I believe I've seen this done with other subwoofers by completely sealing off your trunk u can use on your rear deck I believe pioneer had freeair subwoofers back in the day but like I said completely sealed air tight let us know if it works

  • i have T2D215 on a T2500bdcp i wanna know if it would sound better in sealed box or ported box at 30hz not really going for spl but i also like for my bass to be heard from a distance i listen to mostly rap and r&b if that helps

  • @kel7160 If you want a lower frequency response, you are better off going with a sealed enclosure. A sealed enclosure will allow for quicker, tighter and more responsive bass. You will still get a significant amount of power due to the nature of the subwoofer. Rockford Fosgate will have precise dimensions for sealed and ported enclosure on their manuals. It is always best to go by their measurements and dimensions.

  • @kel7160 no, you would be better off using a ported enclosure! It all depends on who builds the enclosure. Worse thing to do is use a prefab for a subwoofer like this. If you can't build an enclosure for your sub yourself, I can give you info on someone who can build an enclosure that will truly bring out the proper bass from your T2. But whatever you do,please don't use a box that's prefab.

  • @RJBbass2000 who can build the box the box is for two t215

  • Im not sure but does anyone think that this sub is louder than the PIONEER CHAMPION PRO 3500watt subs?

  • im getting 2 15"RF T2D2 and a hifonics colossus 3200 rms and run it at 2 ohms is that good?

  • i have a question.. i have that subwoofer and im wondering if i have to use a enclosure?? can i just mount it without a box??

  • @colossus57300 Well it depends what type of subwoofer it is? Answer is you should more than likely use a box. Subwoofers can sometimes perform without a box (in free-air, or infinite baffle applications) but this will usually significantly reduce the subwoofers output, and quality of response. A subwoofer enclosure is extremely important on how it creates bass, so it's highly recommended you use an enclosure built to specification of the subwoofer for the best sound quality and SPL.

  • @colossus57300 WTF are u ok?

  • thanks u guys have been great help

  • will need to up grade my alternator and need and extra batter to run this system

  • @kel7160 Yes I would recommend an upgraded alternator and a battery for this system. If anything, at least get an AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) Power Cell like the SHURiKEN SK-BT120 and also upgrade your "Big 3" wiring with 0 Gauge wire. You really will want to consider getting a high output alternator as well. If you go with the Rockford Amp, you can get away without upgrading your amplifier more than likely. The Hifonics amp may draw a bit too much for a smaller alternator.

  • Thanks

  • what size amp should i use for two T2 12

  • @kel7160 For two Rockford Fosgate T2 12" Subwoofers, you'll need an amplifier capable of 2400W of RMS power. The Rockford Fosgate T2500-1bdCP is a great amplifier capable of pushing a little extra power into the woofers for improved bass response. For a budget amplifier, you could also consider the Hifonics BRZ2400.1D.

  • Whoever said that their 2 12" Type R are louder than a T2 is crazy!! My one 12" T2 will beat way harder than an Alpine! Yall just didnt kno how to connect it!

  • Do you sell to Brazil? I would like the T2 model 02ohms!

  • @mperink Yes we do! If you'd like to purchase this product just get on our website and type in T2D2 in the green search bar. We currently have the 12" and 15" models in stock, both in the 2 ohm configuration. Thanks for checking us out!

  • What would be the best amp to power the t2?

  • @dwdrums828 The best amplifier to use is a CEA-Compliant amplifier capable of 1000-1200 watts of RMS power. Rockford Fosgate's T1000-1bd will work as a great matchup with the Dual 2 Ohm model of the T2 subwoofer. An amplifier like the Polk Audio PA1200.1 will also drive the Dual 2 Ohm model. If you have the dual 4 ohm model you can use an amplifier like the Kenwood X1200M.

  • would the rockford fosgate 12" T2 or the 12" JL W7 be better to run off a BRZ1200.1? im thinking about up grading my sub.

  • @PlayasWays If you want to run 1200 watts to a sub, use the Rockford 12" T2. JL Audio does not recommend running over 1000 watts of RMS power to their 12W7, because this will overheat the coils and have a risk of blowing your subwoofer quickly.

The Rockford T2 will handle all 1200 watts of RMS power without any issues and will sound spectacular!

  • what is a Punch HX2 10'' subwoofer compared to

  • @hungry4green Something like a TR7510 by MTX Audio would be comparable to the Punch HX2. Also for a current Rockford model you can go with the Rockford P3 subwoofer. RE Audio's SEX subwoofer might also work for the application.

  • Hey I was wondering, does the t2 only hit the lows?, or can it also bang the high notes as loud as the kicker L7?

  • @nalohammaz Comparing those two subwoofers is a little tougher, but they have a lot of differences to consider. The Kicker L7 has that square shape so you'll get better surface area, but if you're looking for more of a subwoofer that is more flexible with frequency ranges, the Rockford Fosgate T2 may be what you're looking for. Either subwoofer in the right box will get you great bass response on lower frequencies, and a T2 in a ported box tuned correctly will get you flexible bass response.

  • @nalohammaz Hahaha alright to be straight forward & honest with you.. i know what this subwoofer is capable of, and u even trying to compare the L7 to the brand new version of the T2 is a shame... there isnt a comparison straight up. first off rockford rates every sub and amp separately, so when u open the box it will have a paper in there telling u exactly what that one is rated and the fact that the new T2 is already 200watts more power than the old version is amazing all in itself..

  • @dubz1313 Hands Down Rockford T2 over the Kicker, no questions need be asked

  • ok thanks

  • thanks for the reply, what changes between the new and the old t2?

  • Hi I am sorry for the Italian language, I wanted to tell you how powerful and deep bass, between t2 rockford, mtx 9500, bl fi audio? talking 15-inch

  • @MAIEMI Those 3 subwoofers can definitely handle power. High output subwoofers are tougher to compare since they all have their own technologies that make them special. The MTX Audio Thunder 9500 is probably the most durable out of all of those subwoofers and can really take a beating. The Rockford Fosgate T2 subwoofer sounds great and can hit quite hard. We don't have a lot of testing with FI subs, especially since they're all custom built to preference, so we can't quite comment on them.

  • @SonicElectronixTV

differences t2 2005 vs rockford t2 2010 with the above?

  • @MAIEMI The main differences between the subwoofers are the revised cone, new spider design and better cooling over the previous model. The sub can handle more power due to this increase cooling design so you can get better bass response from the newer model which is always great. You're not going to notice a difference in SQL, but in SPL you can get better impacting bass with a little more wattage to the sub.

  • @SonicElectronixTV what do you think about the absolute evw-3000 subwoofer?

  • @slick1l It depends on the size of the Fosgate T2 subwoofer you use. If you're talking the 12" Fosgate T2 the 13W7 will be louder and cleaner. As far as the Rockford Fosgate 15" T2 you might get more bass output, but the 13W7 will probably have cleaner output with comparable power. There's a reason that 13W7 is so high priced. It's a great subwoofer with powerful bass and clean output.

  • @SonicElectronixTV i agree and disagree i believe hands down the RF are better than Jl Better construction and as you said deeper gut blasting bass. As far as cleaner output yea Jl has it. My friend and i bought our systems at the same time i bought T2 he bought W7 broke them in for a few months on bare minimun wattage needed. then we got new amps a couple weeks latter the rubber surround on the JL was busted open.

  • @SonicElectronixTV I think there are better options out there like Audison, Hertz, focal that definetly sound better than JL but hands down Im in Love with JL Amps.

  • 5 months ago 4 HOLY JIZZ IN MY PANTS!!! 1200RMS...... tight. sweet

  • Seth wild? Sounds like a pornstar name. Lmaoo

  • It looks great, but I don't see how the aluminum cone could sound good?

  • these things sure do pound, but are I can get something way louder for how much money these are

  • these things are siick. love the lows mine hitss

  • hey sonicelectronixTV....i see on your website that the ,Rockford Fosgate Power T1000-1BDCP 1000 watt mono amplifier....for 439.99 is this correct?...on amazon they are selling the same amp for 649.99...i was told that amazon has the best deals...are your fosgate products REAL! fosgate stuff???..cuz thats a big price difference..just wanted to know cuz i'm gonna get one

  • @SonicElectronixTV ...k cool, now i know where i'm gna get that AMP from...YOU GUYS!

  • @SonicElectronixTV ....one last question......how come you sell stuff..like fosgate..for so cheap?? and it's brand new aswell

  • @biggbaa We do our best to keep prices competitive, by purchasing our items in bulk, and selling our items with little margins. Compared to a company who may buy one or two pieces, we'll buy as many as we can get our hands on.

  • @kylemartinmosspoint Yes we do! Check out all of our monthly specials on our main website by signing up to our Newsletter found on our home page!

  • @SonicElectronixTV Thanks alot!!!

  • Great looks. Still not loud enough. My two 12" type r's on 1200rms are way louder than the 15"s on the same amp, i should know i helped my friend install his.

  • @MADMIKE55555 hmm..what year are you type Rs?

  • That's low power for a 4" voice coil my brother (wfhs52) his RE MT 18's can take 5000 watts all day

  • for 800 bucks a pair... u could buy 2 fi btls or americanbass hds for waaay cheaper and there a way better sub....

  • @MrLj410 hell yeah! But there are places to get these subs cheaper than the price their asking for, on these T2s. And I thought JL audio had some expensive subs, lol!

  • actually you can run 4 gauge speker wire if you wanted to overkill the my authorized dealer said the 2010 line up is junk its all made in japan now they already had return rates at their store 50 percent bad within two days of installation the old stuff never blew at all beware buying these new rockford japanese crap and im a member of rockford fosgate i got all the old 2009 rockford gear in my truck now no probs at all

  • @bang2loud1981 Do you automaticly assume that everything your authorized dealer says is true and stick with it?

Such as "jl subs are the best all other subs suck"

    I hope you don't

  • @wertyterty5 yeah especially when im gonna drop a couple grand on a system and jl sucks its an overpriced piece of shit like the t2 subs dc audio or fi or even ascendant audio and digital designs is half the prices of these subs and as far as amps the rockford amps are overpriced too sundown and crescendo audio and even soundstream is at half the price people keep getting ripped off to these companies like jl or rockford im done getting ripped off by these assholes

  • @bang2loud1981 Yea most brands that aren't as mainstream tend to have better speakers, if you know your info

  • yes, its seth wild again!

  • @wfhs52 Thats not entirely true. Yes the primary function of the voice coil is power handling and wiring options and to move the woofer cone up and down. However, if you were to take that woofer, keep all aspects the same, and decrease the voice coil size, your bass would be affected in general, including the deepness of it. The cone and excursion though are the determining factor in how low of notes it hits.

  • @DuffmasterFresh You are 100%..... wrong.

A 4" voice coil that only handles 1,200rms is a true tragedy. Good 4" coils handle 6,000rms or more. This is just a POS 4" coil put in there to make it seem "better".

You go find a woofer with a 4" coil. And I will re-cone my woofers to what ever size you find, and I'll put $100 down that mine will play much "deeper"

  • @wfhs52 for the money spent on these T2s, you could get some DDs, or some SSA Xcons. But there are places you can get T2s for way less. I like the T2s, but for $800 for one of these, that's nuts!

  • @datkoolbrutha You must be on SSA. Message me and tell me who you are.

  • @wfhs52 Yeah, I sent a message to you, and subscribed to your channel!

  • @wfhs52 i agree dc audio has an 8 layer voice coil

  • Fi BTL... just sayin'

  • i would take take over any AA, Fi etc. sub

  • HOLY JIZZ IN MY PANTS!!! 1200RMS...... tight.

  • @rodneyj14 you shouldve sent sonic that message lol

  • I like the new look of them with the black cone

  • @MagicalMrSkylar yeah DC level 4 or any Rockford subs or apline of any of that

  • hopefullly the next generation will use a neodynium magnet to cut down on weight, and give the sub some much needed versatility. Once again I agree this is a great speaker.

  • @jason01020 neo mags would get too hot, and an affordable neo subwoofer this size, wouldnt have good voice coils.

  • @MagicalMrSkylar Boston Acoustics managed to do it with the spg555, and i believe they are of a similar price give or take 100 dollars.

  • holy shit

    must have

  • High-roll surround.
