@liftoffgirl In truth, that shot at the end of this wonderful assembly of photos (thank you!, liftoffgirl!), some of which are quite rare and unusual, is most emphatically NOT from "For Me and My Girl" -- it looks to be from one of the 1952 photos shoots that Miss Garland completed ...
@liftoffgirl Apologies! I'm not as savvy with this as I ought to be ... I was trying to respond to the comment that appeared to insist that the image was from "For Me and My Girl" ... and we both know it could not possibly be! The last thing I would want to appear to be doing was criticizing you, yourself, when you have put so many great images of Judy on the web, here. Again, thank you ... and sorry for any confusion!
Sensitive phrasing, perfectly controlled vibrato, and that certain "something" which raises her above the rest. Her brilliance wasn't just innate talent but the ability to integrate the coaching of people like Roger Edens and make it uniquely her own. Heaven knows she suffered, yet her warmth and musicality still bathes us in joy. I cannot get over how musical tastes have changed and Judy Garland remains a woman who still speaks to us. I think she always will!
"you made me Love You" My grandmother would scream at my grandfather in Italian so us kids wouldn't know what she was saying. My grandfather would rub his forehead and start Singing "You Made Me Love You" I dident want to do it .... I find myself from time to time singing it out load around the house. My grandparents where the more than grandparent to me and my sisters, I miss them so so much.
I just wanted to say that, at the point of me making this comment, no one has Disliked this video. Meaning that, there were only Likes. Nobody clicked "Dislike".
Just going down memory lane here. My dad would sing this to my late mum after a good old drink and we would laugh but we knew how much they loved each other really.many thx to you and all who post these old records. x

Secretly, i dedicate this song to a boy named Gilbert. However, to be sure that there are no false pretenses, i heard this song a long time ago.
I love you miss Judy Garland, you make me very happy through your voice and movies.
