How do you not go to hell? I'm not perfect, but I haven't committed any mortal sins. We all commit venial sins which aren't serious, but I don't go to church or take religion classes.
@Goldenrod636 You must confess to God that your an unworthy sinner and ask Lord Jesus to come into your life and forgive you of all sins, believe that He died for you and that God raised Him from the dead. God loves everybody and wants no-one to perish!

@soldierforGod25 I KNOW IT'S TRUE !!! (ABOUT THE MIND). Here's a short version. I was meditating whilst laying down. I floated up out of my body and looked down and saw myself. I had the instant knowledge that the body is only a 'machine'. Wonderfully made, but still a machine!!! So having experienced this personally, I know the mind is separate!!!! As for God?? Yes God exists. Personal experience again?? YES.
Actually all you have to do to be a perfect christian is to accept Jesus and nothing more. Just like the guy next to Jesus on the cross, this guy only believed in Jesus and that is the only key to eternal life with God. Hebr 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
@NLspartan117 I just finished the four gospels again and am struck by how often Christ says we must DO what he says if we are to be his followers. Both faith and works are necessary, as James says.
@SkepticsUniverse2 yes. I'm an agnostic myself. I don't know what to believe. When i was younger i was a die hard atheist. But the more you learn, specially about quantum physics, the more i open the door to the idea of there beeing some kind of creator/creating force. I will say hovewer, Ian McCormack tells this story very well. So well in fact that i find it hard to believe he is making it all up. He kind of loses me though at the end when "god" tells him he has to go to church and stuff lol

@bigbangerbison I have a question: To this day there are a number of tribes who live in complete isolation from the outside world. They have never had a chance to hear about christianity or Jesus. They will never ask Christ into their hearts because they've never even heard of him. Are they doomed to hell?
@xxCrazySmooth I'm a christian and Ive always wondered about that as well. How can a loving god because the bible says god is love send you to hell for not even hearing about jesus. Children, adults etc. Think about it? What would YOU do my fellow Christians. If you couldn't do it(send those innocent people to hell) do you think a all loving god could??? perhaps you are talking about ressurection day. yes after we, scripture seems to indicate that those who are in Christ Jesus go to a temporary heaven or hell, so to speak, and those who are not go to a temporary hell.
after our bodies are ressurected, it appears Christ will judge based on works. if you are in Christ, then though you must answer for your sins, you wont be condemned for them (John 3:18), and we will recieve diffrent degrees of reward for how we lived our lives. those without Christ will be judged only by their works, and since works cant save anyone (Galatians 2:16) then they are already condemned, and are their to recieve their level of punishment. the important thing is to believe in Christ.
what about taressa...she did allot of good..i understand she wasnt christian but she brought the name of jesus to india...and decided to not get married or have kids...and ever since she wasnt a christian is she saved then??
i thought she did believe in Jesus, regardless, mother teresa, siddhartha, ghandi, all did good things. but they sinned as well. isaiah 64:6 says our righteousness is like filthy rags to God. you cant be good enough for God, God wants perfection. the only one who lived a perfect life is Jesus, and by believing in him we can be justified before God. without Jesus, we would be forced to pay for our own sins, and just one sin deserves eternity in hell away from God.

he becomes practically in tears. there is no way he could be lying about this.
and for all that say it is all a hallucination, you don't "feel" things in hallucinations.
and he even admitted he had no clue how to fallow religion, nor did he even focus on it during his life.
so how could he be having a "hallucination" about religion, if he never even thought about it or took the time to think about it?

It's hard for most people to accept that they can never be good enough to go to heaven without Christ
