what? i have a 1990 ford f150 longbed 2wd 8.8 rear 5 speed, but i have no idea what gears it has in it, but anyways it will go over 100mph easy, i do it on route 67 in maryland if anyone knows where that is
i have a 88 and its a 4 speed i had it to 120 and then the drive shaft sheared in half and the tranny bell housing cracked completly but we was getting it lol
WTF? I can run 85 in my 4.9 longbed 5 speed at 2400 rpm in 5th. Mine must be gear really effing high lol. Looked like you were running closer to 3600. Plus I got 2 extra gears to wind out lol
@halflife103 My 1996 f150 5spd 300 l6 has 250k miles on it and it still starts up and runs great. It would be a steal for 750 I have been offered 1200 for mine
@buryourdead21 haha mine has the highway gears, its a 1990 ford f150 custom (hence my user name), but it has 3.06s and apparently from 89 to 91 the 300s had 165hp and 275ftlbs of torque, but anyways we have had it up to 105

I have a '91 150 has the same i6 145 hp, i got it to around 100 maybe 105 going downhill once. Havent been able to do it since

@LUGZ1994 same, i have 3.55 gears in mine and im at 2000 rpm doing 55 mph on the highway in 5th gear.

thats really not bad.. if you shift by hand you can take it to about 4500 then shift it into the next gear.. might get a bit higher speed

not bad for those trucks, the 5spd's have a little more get up and go, if they have the highway gears, usueally the longbeds do...nice truck!
