I'm not sure beveling would provide much benefit. What is most important is to have a soft edge that will not likely cause damage to the cell tabs. From the factory, this material has a relatively rounded edge; any machining would likely create a crisper edge that could cause more harm than good. Besides, it would only be the last one that would be tricky. However, I have since traded out the individual spacers in favor of fewer thicker spacers. And yes, there is current capacity gallore!
A123 tabs being so long, do you need a full set of cut pieces? Just a thought.
If you wish for more strength then could I suggest the end pieces being wide enough to accept 6mm screwed rod. There is a need to tap them with spacers in one go to forgo needing any nuts.

I bet if you bevel the bottoms of the spacers they could slip right on the cells.
