I really hated Rolo at first, prolly because he was replacing Nunnally, who I really loved... but I felt sorry for him too because he never figured out how much Lelouch actually hated him...

Rolo was a very interesting character. But i think the purpose of Shirley character contributed to Lulu's guilt of killing her father and losing a friend. Though she's not involved with the rebellion, she represents the POC of an acquaintance who has no clue about what is really going on.

I've never seen the whole Nina deal put that way, however, I just think Rolo has a much more likeable personality than Nina did, and he was so adorable XD And though she truly admired Euphie, she still held no respect for the japanese, (she even tried to get Suzaku to kill thousands upon thousands of japanese people). actually if u remember correctly, she set aside her hatred for zero and helped him at the end in order to realize euphie dream; rolo is similar he fought on the japanese side not because he wanted to help them, but because lelouch is on the same side.

i don't particularly like or dislike nina, i do admired her brilliant in designing the fleiya even if it's such a terrible weapon, and then later on designed another to counter it; don't worry about it, it's your opinion; i didn't like rolo too much after he killed shirley, but i realize his own motivation as well when he sacrifice himself to save lelouch...cg does that even clovis redeem himself in my eyes somewhat when we learned after he was killed how much he cared for lelouch, etc...

Makes sense, I do acknowledge that she's a genius, or close to t. You know, to be so young and make a weapon aAND a counter for it, but also her sttempt at the bomb in season two wth an old knghtmare. I think you judged shirley too harshly, i like her early on cause she accepted suzaku (he's my favorite) when he first came to the school, and she tried to confess to lelouch but failed when she discovered he was zero, and then her memory got erased, etc. I didn't like rolo much at first cause he was trying to replace nunnally, and he was a total stranger.

XD Yeah, I lke Sirley now, but in the beginning...yeah XD Actually, I started Code Geass on Adult Swim, and saw episode 1 of R2 and confused it foe the very first episode XDXD So I knew NOTHING XD. I mainly lked Rolo because he was so cute!!! And (oddly) an assasian which made me like him more! (cute but deadly) My fave females are Kallen, Euphy, C.C, Milly and Cornelia. All of them have such posisitive qualties, and can handle a lot, Shirley too.
