You know, the people they chose to play the nations and characters do not fit. The clothing, the architecture, and military styles are clearly Asian and thus it seems awkward for other people to be wearing and 'acting' in that setting. I don't mine Shaun Taub as Iroh, but the others don't fit. The fighting is way too slow and the bending is even what it is in the cartoon. As a fan of the series, I am very disappointed.

I think that in this movie the characters will be more serious compared to the cartoons.

Unfortunetly the midnight release is sold out by my home so I have to wait till thursday. *Sniff* But oh well, one day added to two long years shouldn't be to hard of a wait. Does anyone know if they are planning a second and third? After the remaining seasons? If they do the third should be in two parts. So much happens and we have two major major battles that happen!

um Wizard just so you know this is only the first in the series of Avatar the last airbender. right furthermore you will find it best to watch the anime series first before you watch the movie. this storyline may be hard to follow otherwise. i am hoping that this movie will do the anime series proud. a couple of the scnes i've seen in the adverts prove to be a little different from the anime.but i guess all we can do is cross our fingers.

actually he does. they made it look as real as it could. in real life, a scar wont be as red as it was in the series. in this movie they even added more detail to it.

um not really. Even when lighter people scar, it doesnt stay red or pink. it starts to turn to a brownish pigment. So it would be lighter than in the show. I do agree about him being dark though. that has a major affect on it =(
