  • Bangor University has been working on this with Lake Malawi cichlids and had similar results in both males and females

  • @ujahooda That's cool, what papers do they have out on it? I'd like to read them.

  • @nerodia8 well i saw this demo two years ago... might be under the work of george turner. he is a lake malawi cichlid expert

  • how can u get bluegill to eat and stay out of the corner?

  • It's easy if you give them places to hide and if you have healthy fish to begin with. Having more than one seems to help too, but I've had plenty eat by themselves

  • thanks man!

  • remind me of texas cichs

  • you both are right. One is a texas cichlid and one is a bluegill.

  • these are bluegill??? well anyway they taste good lol

  • one is a bluegill.

  • True. bluegill dont get enough credit for their fiestiness and complex behaviors.

  • haha bluegills are the best, if you go to any shallow park pond thats stocked with em, you can watch the same thing in the summer when they build breeding nests out of stones close to shore

  • thats the best time to catch them. Jus put ur line out in there breeding beds n boom u snagged one, n its mostly the male too

  • when they make nests they face up and use their tail to make the nest.
