    15 hills (mine were a little shorter but steeper)

    20 pushups

    10 pullups

    20 dips

    Running the home mile was so hard but now I feel like I have earned the right to live today.

  • Bad ankles? Is this why Every time I run my ankles hurt and sometimes my Shins..and the back of them too? I train in boxing and I skip instead of running...I need to start running cause I have shitty Cardio / Especially if I want to fight. But every time I run I get such bad pains...even when I skip but that pain is more tolerable......

    Gonna do some hills daily during those runs, and perhaps some weight lifting and ab workouts after the run.

    I'm up to day 14 of this, don't ask me why I'm watching day 4 but they all have good info and I like to watch them more than once.

    Anyway I've been doing jump rope instead of running because it's more convenient... Am I missing out on anything beneficial from running?

  • @andalooz Depends on what you are looking to achieve. In terms of cardio, both are very good. The difference is that jump rope works the muscles slightly differently. I think running engages your hamstrings and drivers/quads more.

    Interestingly, boxers like to do jump rope because it helps them to be light on their feet as well as to be able to coordinate hands and feet together which is important for sparring.

  • yes but it means for every one pound of fat you have say you have one orange. for every pound of muscle compared to fat there would be 3 oranges :)

  • running may not be the best option for you if you are a bit heavier i dont know what your body look like, if your knees are hurting try power walking, cycling or swimmng. until you shed a bit more weight :), or elipticle if you can get to a gym.

  • LOL at the making love to the red light. Hills are amazing! Up here in New Hampshire just my block has a 45 degree slope for about 0.6 miles. It's true that walking won't do as much as jogging or running but it does help, jogging/running helps to condition you. People should focus their meals to speed up their metabolism like you were trying to say. A big breakfast is essential as you will end up just burning it off, eat a decent lunch like a sandwich and some fruit/chexmix, then a light dinner.

  • In response to blake asking for a teenager video: Teenagers can do this too mate its no different for us, I personally do my strength training by going to the gym and lifting weights 3-4 times a week and i get the majority of my cardio from playing rugby 3 times a week and I'm 16. Obviously when its the holidays and rugby is off i continue the gym but the running in the mornings is useful :)

  • Man this vids are gr8, motivating, even though I'm not trying to lose weight, I realise I've been doing too much heavy weight training for mass and strength and now after I run a quarter mile I'm breathing hard and that's not nice. I'm gonna get back on running at least twice a week probably between workouts. Can't wait for day 5.

  • Well I just started wrestling for my first year...however I been cramping up alot. I wanted to know if you have any methods (you being a trackstar and all) for reduce or eliminating these charlie horses.

    Also Im in decent shape. Though I havent play a sport in awhile, I have been working out. Also my piss its hella clear. So its not the lack of water.

    Basically, any advise whether it be food wise (what kind of vitamins) or physical wise (types of stretches, ect) would help.

  • I used to get cramps, I used magnesium tablets wich helped alot =D u can try if u want or destorm prob. knows =)

  • It could be a lack of salt, and or potassium. try eating a banana like an hour before your exercise or drinking gatorade to get the minerals you need. im not a trainer, just a suggestion from my personal experience.

  • I got hip and knee pains from an accident so I cant run, but I do excercises to make up for it.  I walk a trail in the morning that's a lil over a mile and it gives you hills and it's rugged. In the evenings I workout at the gym on the Arc Trainer it gets your heart rate up without the impact of hitting pavement. There's always a way :D. Oh and my gym membership is 10 dollars a month. Find a Planet Fitness in your area they are dirt cheap and have everything you need.

  • to gain muscle weight especially for ectomorphs (hard gainers) you have to intake so much food in order to make gains... eating clean calories. losing weight is so much easier.
