Strauchman could have done SO MUCH BETTER vocals in this performance. These vocalists kinda break their songs for me when they do an acoustic and don't even sing the songs properly. :( I LOVED THIS SONG.
@Fragmented08 then you are listening to the guitars, bass, keyboard, and drum more then you are his voice. his voice sounds the same when they are doing an acoustic performance as it does when the whole band is performing or on the albums
@meghanheartspink09 Uhm, no. His voice may sound the "same" to you but the way he sings it in this performance is totally different. It's as if he sings here lazily. You know, not putting as much effort just because it is an acoustic performance. Like JohnO of The Maine sometimes does as well. I love these bands but all I'm asking for is to put a little more effort when singing acoustically.
@Fragmented08 It certainly doesn't sound quite like in the studio but my feeling is that's more to do with the amount of strain a tour puts on your voice and what you have to do to preserve your voice over the length of a tour.
@Sleifer282 Just checking - but you know they aren't loose whatsoever right? It's the way the camera captures the video itself.. 24 frames per second/refresh rates/camera lens etc. You can just see the oscillations in a stroboscopic effect. Search Wikipedia for 'stroboscopic', and search YouTube for 'Guitar Oscillations Captured with iPhone 4'.
@DTR I'd assume they weren't that loose otherwise the guitar would sound ridiculously low. I'm not very technical when it comes to cameras if I'm honest but I will give that a quick search, thanks man
@DTR I filmed at 30FPS but with the shutter speed at 1/30, which creates that effect with guitar strumming. If i'd shot at 1/60 (which is more traditional), you wouldn't see that happen. I personally think it's cool, cheers! orestimusicDOTcom for more of my work.
This is just.... amazing. I really love how they decided to pick this place instead inside a studio like other acoustic videos

@orestimusic I like it a lot, unsure if it looks strange in a commercial release, however?
