Hey there post-punk/indie rock lovers! We just thought you might wanna check out our demos. There's not a lot of bands similar to Interpol, actually none, and that's a fact. And we are lucky enough to have them as one of our influences :) Just type in LES FILS - AS WE ARE to hear it cause we can't share links here.
Whilst I like it, I feel like they've backed away from their previous melodic approach which I loved. Somehow this song has loads happening but doesn't feel very dynamic.
My opinion: Banks and Kessler aren't skilled, but they are talented. I think there's a subtle difference there. And for what it's worth, I think this is the best song on the album and one of my favorite Interpol songs. Honestly, I felt the first half of the album was really strong, it's just that the second half gets so bogged down and depressed.
I think Fogarino, Kessler, and Banks all have great talent. Anyone touring all over the world has talent. Their music is simple but it goes together perfectly, kind of like Coldplay's music...
@WhoIsPine They have talent. Their first album was one of the best of the decade. Their Antics album went gold in the UK. Our love to admire and the new album are not as popular but they are good in their own right. I'm not saying their the most talented, because theres definitely better talented musicians out there, but they are talented...
@ReesesPieces365 You got me wrong man. When I said "some" world touring artists have no talent i wasn't talking about Interpol. I meant those other people who have their songs written, composed and choreographed by task teams in offices and stuff. I love Interpol and wether or not their stuff is or was popular the first two albums are masterpieces and i rather enjoyed the third one for quite a while.
I love interpol. I have for many years. I was dissapointed by their third album, as were alot of fans. This album is a tad better but I dont think they will ever be able to live up to the insane talent and quality of Antics and to a lesser extent, Turn on the Bright Lights. I kinof believe that Carlos quit because the bands songwriting is not as good as it once was and really didnt want to leave on bad terms. He's an aboslutely fabulous bass player.
@PiumaDominio It's doubtful, they typically take 2.5/3 years to put out new material and Carlos D, who is by far the most talented musician in the band, is now out of the picture. I'd say probably 2013 at the earliest.
@radiomonkey20 Carlos d the most talented musician in the band?.....Strange considering...He hates what he does, and thats why he left..The man does not like playin bass......Banks and Kessler were always Interpol and will continue to be.....but thats my opinion and any true Interpol fan knows that...
@comacful Since when are talent and dedication the same thing? Carlos left to pursue other interests, that says nothing about his skill as a musician. Dengler and Fogarino were the backbone. Banks is the face of the band, but he and Kessler are nothing more than competent with their instruments.
All - please check out our effort Cold Blooded Lovers and let us know what you think. Please feel free to leave a comment and subscribe -- that always makes our day!

@Thyazio Ok... because I loved Antics, Turn on the Bright Lights, and Our Love to Admire. And I wanna love this one too! Especially since this will probably be the last album they have with Carlos D as their bassist

@halifuckinfan Yea. But it works for me in terms of being cinematic in a film noir sense. The video, however, is total shit. They really missed the mark there. "PDA" and "Song 7" are so far their best work for me.
@HMG5588 PDA drolls on, good song but overdoes the "sleep tight" sections.I think most of this album is pretty decent actually. Better than "Our love" for sure. I'd rather hear restraint than hear a song like "No I in Threeway"
