Me and my Dad did the same thing to my 97 legacy 2.5 gt,, just 2 years ago.. it was the head gasket,, but just the other day it ran hot on me and now there is water in the oil, and i hope its not a head, i hope its just a head gasket again, cause i can not find a head for this car. a guy at subaru said my car was rare,, 19 legacy 2.5 gt non turbo.. most of these cars like mine are station wagon,, and turbo.. mine is non turbo and sadan.

The seized bearing being pointed out is actually the pilot bearing not the throw-out bearing.
The throw-out bearing is the bigger one that attaches to the clutch fork and presses on the pressure plate to disengage the clutch.
The little pilot bearing sits inside the flywheel
