this is fucking true, our sony (old baby not the recent one) its been 25 years old and its still working.compare to the new buy lcd sony last for days.ouch..

They were not lying, my parents still have their 1986-model Sony Trinitron KV-2791R they bought for $800. 24 years later, it still works like the day it was new. It is still used daily and in my opinion is the best TV ever made. They just don't build them like this anymore.

Does anyone know if the sony ad where a guy is in his chair as he falls from the sky. I remember see-ing it in the cinema, and I'm sure it was on tv too.

Made by Sony in 1984.

I saw it once when I visited MGM Studios in Florida with my dad in 1995 when we were 11 on the 'Who wants to be a star' . They wouldnt let us have a copy.

I guess they were right! My KV-27HFR 1988 still works perfectly after 21 years. The image and sound are still excellent!

I'm in advertising and I've admired this commercial for years. I've been in countless meetings when I've recounted the simple brilliance of the message. It's fun and emotional and maybe even a little sexy. So it covers all the bases.

Anyway, could you tell me what year this was made? or who did the creative work?
