  • wow what a voice! well suited to this song. i don't agree that it is the best version, but it is really great.

  • Is there such a thing as "THE BEST VERSION"? It's all in the ear of the lisener. But you can tell who Ray Charles was lisening to before he made his recording of this song.

  • @markalson1938 yes there is, and that is MY VERSION!! muhahahaha!

  • Wow! Sing it Fankie! Love to watch and listen to this great singer. Nobod has coe close to his talent. Thank for sharng!

  • Why doesn't another Frankie Laine come into our lives? I Miss Him! Greatest!!!

  • @schneppm The reason another one doesn't come alon is because he was unique. I can't miss him because I play his records everyday.

  • I mum saw Mr Laine 7 time over the years in manchester UK

and now i have all mums 78's 45's and Lp's he and Johnnie Ray and Doris Day was the best singer around in the 50's

  • what has happened to todays music...?

  • Great Stuff!

I think Frankie Laine did the best versions of "Georgia", "Sunny Side" and, of course "Lucky Old Sun." Ray Charles obviously spent a lot of time listening to him!
