could someone from the us please tell me WHY there are so many video clips of electrical faults from the states.is there something going on with the power companies whereby they wont install good quality equipment so that outages dont happen or is it the case that the networkscannot cope with the power take up from all the customers on a line.here in the uk,if a fault happens a breaker or a fuse pops long before any damage to the wiring or equipment.let me know please.

NYC seems to have a black cloud looming overhead. I was sleeping one night where I lived outside of Oakland towards stockton cali and I heard the loudest bang and all the power went out in the neighborhood. It scared us so much.
