This was my SECOND PS2 game! My first one was Star Wars Racer Revenge. I rented it for a short time and I couldn't stop playing. then we rented it again, and again, and we finally bought it. That was when I was very young and now I'm 17 years old. Now I play games such as half Life and Just Cause 2, which are very different because there are no specially-made large platforms and stuff were you can jump on. Now I'm playing this game again and it really feels I go back in time. Great game!

Unfortunately, as much as people (including me) like the Jak series, it wouldn't hold up well in todays market of fps's and such. If you want proof, look at the Ratchet and Clank series. They are good ps3 games, but no one is really interested in jumping onto things any more.

Ah, this game! I wish I played it when I was nine, when I've got the PS2 T_T: now that I played this game last year, I found it so incredible, especially for the day-night cycle.

Well, now, I know that there are four sequels (five with Daxter) of this game, but I don't want to try them: they looks so different from the first one....

@Darxae1 I think it would depend on your taste. I tried the second and just couldn't get through it because of how bad it was. Think Jak and Daxter meets Grand Theft Auto. On the other hand my friend has played the first three and loved them all.

Back when I was still young, my dad got me a Ps2, it came with Ratchet and Clank and Jak and Daxter, I first played Jak and Daxter, I got used to it when one day, I went to play Ratchet and Clank, I can still remember me saying "I don't know about this." Haha, I was such a scaredy cat, but when I tried it, it was awesome, that tought me not to judge a game by it's ratings and or cover art. :)

this was the best game ever, i would spend hours with my family playing these games from jak and daxter to jak 3 the story was an awesome battle between good and evil and then jak x kinda squished the story a little cuz of the racing but jak x kept me preoccupied for a while

@BobeyGamer I totally agree... I loved the first one, because the world felt more cohesive, and more natural. I liked the Precursor Ruins and such... If Jak 4 ever comes around, I'd like to return to the world in "The Precursor Legacy" It was more beautiful.

Too short. I can beat this game in 1 sitting. Naughty Dog in general needs to make its games longer. Crash, Jak, Uncharted all have the same problem. Great games but they're over in a heartbeat.
