Jaguars are all sexy. The XK,XF and now The XJ. I drove the XF when it came out and it was a wonderful car. I owned an X Type and I loved it. I relate to Jay's story. I fell in love with the old XJ120 and during my pre teens the E type was the car. It went through a lot of changes even in my high school days and then was discontinued. It seems Jaguar made some real junk for a while except for the XJ12 sports car which had a V12 and still commands at least 10,000.00 dollars. Loved the S type.

Audi A8 has no competition with the new XJ b/c the audi never got the recognition it should've gotten. it was never appealing to anyone nor will it ever be sadly but on a new note the XJ will once again be on top of big sedans with features, simple add on options not packages that cost an arm and the over all drive.

Refreshingly honest in your reply. Your opinion on this being a shit car is without value. Since you have never owned a Jaguar and your bias against them is clear to see. BMW make good cars but lack character and luxury. The 1989 730i that I had was good but very cheap plastic inside & it had a faulty trip computer . Not an "ultimate driving machine" then. Audi S5, good but no class or luxury, just a well screwed together technocar. Give the car a chance like the UK gave you!!!

Good luck young man. My dad bought a Jaguar 420G when I was eight years old, that car set me on the trail of "must have one, one day". I am sure if you try hard enough and keep a positive view of your dream car you will own one. New or second hand will not matter, just do it one day. My S type is my eighth Jaguar & by no means my last!

For me I always associated Jaguar with the X350 & X358. This car, along with XK and XF (and a disposal of X) gives a new definition of Jaguar. The car is sharp looking, with "character" and renown reliability. I think it is way better than either S-class or 7-series as it is not as "heavy". This is more like an Aston Martin. Such a sweet car!

as you see the XK out drove the 911, XF outdrove the 5series and you would expect whats gonna happend with this.
