I watched shows like "Mr Rodgers Neighborhood", Sesame Street, Captain Kangaroo, and Reading Rainbow and Fred Rodgers was a class act in a time when children shows were at the peak of their fame ... he'll be missed and always be part of one of the most beloved children's television series of ALL TIME. R.I.P Fred Rodgers -- hes in jesus's neighborhood now ...
I cried the day and to this day. Im 34 years old now and I was one of those children that had Mr Rogers attention. I watched him on TV every day for many years. You are deeply missed dead friend
I hear he had a music degree. Now he is up there with the greats , Johnny Cash , Elvis Presley ,Buddy Holly , Roy Orbison , Ritchie Valens , Lord knows how many songs they are playing up there in heaven.
I will never forget the morning of Feb. 27th, 2003 when I turned on my computer that morning and read the news that Fred Rogers had died earlier that morning. What makes it more painful is that Feb. 27th is my birthday. I always liked to watch Mr. Rogers all the time. After reading the news on line and printing two copies on the computer printed, I just covered my face and cried while sobbing, "He was just a nice man". My wife left me alone cause she knew I was upset.
It's enough he was a very good person and there were others who were good enough to help him share who he was. Those determined to shut down government aid for Public TV and radio should feel ashamed. Religion aside, he did his best and he deserves better than detractors and trolls on the web hurl.
aside from the fact that he completely ruined two generations of children, and was covered in tatoos, he was a nice man and i hope and pray he made it to heaven
I don't think so. Jesus, for example, threatened to destroy entire towns because they did not listen to His preaching. I can't imagine Fred Rogers doing that.
I did too. He was just an amazing man and so nice to everyone around him. And he quite an amazing musician. I love the music he wrote into the show. Fred Rogers is an icon.

You can believe what you want but don't spread unproven things to others.

When we get to heaven, I wanna hug him. That man was a true example of how to be like Christ. What a blessing to children, to adults, to the world.
