Can people just shut the FUCK up ! leave people be! its there Pets NOT URS! Let them do what they do. Okay??????? Gosh get a life. I have Hamsters but i dont bath them cuz im too lazy too But also cuz they say its not good too. But i dont Give a shit wat people think if I bath it or not.
Bathing removes natural and essential oils from the hamsters coat, which can cause the hamster to catch a chill and die. This is horrible - what is wrong with you?
@charkyz its still terrible and stupid. use chinchilla sand and odor-stabilizing bedding like carefresh. hamsters do a great job cleaning themselves and don't need baths, but they do like to roll around in sand to clean their coat. (they come from the desert before domestication)
This is not a safe way to bathe a hamster. There are no safe ways to do it.Bathing removes natural and essential oils from the hamsters coat, which can cause the hamster to catch a chill and die. So please do not wash your hamster
Everyone here is too stubborn to think that bathing a hamster is fatal. Well, IT IS. It can give your hamster wet tail, a disease that can kill your hamster in just a day. It also stresses out the hamster. I don't see why you all bathe your hamsters when they keep themselves clean. It's cruel and inhumane to wash your hamster. THINK OF THE HAMSTER'S WELFARE - NOT YOUR PLEASURE!
Did you know that bathing your hamsters does them more bad than good? Bathing them removes essential oils from their coats which help keep their coats clean and free from parasites. Bathing them every two weeks is really excessive. If it is going to do that to your hamster, why do it in the first place?
lol . . i have hamster too . . i bath them in water once a month n sand bath them everyweek. they wont die that easily . . common sense people . . wth
DUDE PEOPLE SHUT UP.. you can give a hamster a bath just after the bath makesure to warm it up i give my hamster a bath every other week and i have had them since they where babys.. what i do is i give it a bath and wile im bathing him i put a washcloth in the dryer that way when he gets out he gets a nice warm blanket.. so stfu im sick of hearing how u can kill a hamster NOT TRUE.. if you know how to do it right..
well call it wathever you want but that's the truth... we had an outing last summer and i bring them... so whats wrong about that?...there's nothing wrong of making impossible things possible.
First, hamster absolutely cannot be bathed. They can catch pneumonia, water striped natural oils from their fur etc. Do some research. And bathing in a river is pretty unapropriate, because of mess, bacteria and other gross things, that hamster can catch diseases from.
well they didn't die on it.. i appreciate your advice. and besides its only a one time bath experience for them in the river. luckily 'til now they're alive and still healthy.
