I was wondering if there were any easy to use programmes which could let me delete all other games except those on my favorites list?

I really want to cut down on the size,, my favs list has around 900 ROMS on it, (yes i sat and looked through 4000'odd roms to find the ones i liked).

Total size is 25gb, and Im guessing with only those 900 ROMs that's be cut to around ~5gb.

I have sat and tried to work out all of the ROM names, but its sooo difficult and i end up just restoring them.

i did everything up to the searching for the game. i got the contra playchoice 10 game and it is in the rom folder in my mame folder. but when i try to play it i get an error message saying that 'pch1-pch8' not found or some crap. It also says that the game cannot play bc the needed files are missing. how do i fix this?

Mame is a pain. Every ROM I got doesn't work except for Donkey kong. It keeps telling me there are missing files. (CHD files). 1942 for example I can't get working at all.

@Fibr3Optix the best site to get the chd file for roms is emuparadie.me make sure you get the rom and the chd file that's associated with the rom. now when you get the chd file create a new folder and name it the same name as the chd file not the name of the rom. Then put the chd file in the folder you created then put the folder in the rom and put the rom in your rom folder with the rest of the games . I hope this helped you out.

@Diverwade go to mame.net go to downloads on the left hand side and click on latest releases then scroll down to mame offical windows binary packages section and click on the first link mame .0143b. this version works on every game that has a chd in the file so you shouldn't have a problem.

@pwn1997 MAME is designed specifically to emulate many deferent arcade machines. It even have dip-switches and need coins (5 key). The new versions of mame can emulate some PS1 titles like tekken tag, but you need a pretty powerful computer for the PS1 emulations with MAME, and therefore I suggest you just use ePSXe or some other PSX emulator.

Many ppl dont know about keeping the rom files zipped for example and wonder why it doesnt work. Other don't know that they have to enable joystick in defualt game options with some mame32 versions out there.

I recently downloaded MAMEUIFX32 Version 0.141.0.0 ( which I believe is the most recent version of MAME today ) and I can't play NeoGeo games such as Art of Fighting, KOF, etc. Does anyone know where to download the latest NeoGeo Bios? Also, after I find this neogeo bios, I just put the zipped file in the roms folder correct? Any help is appreciated, Thanks

@ElShadow956 ... I use Mame32 Plus! v0.119, I have all roms for it, something like 6,057 but only like 3,000 of them are the original rom since it uses the same rom info for different version minus a file or 2 to work on different models.

The MAME I use will play every single SNK game and plays what earlier MAME's didn't, like SNK Vs Capcom SVC Chaos, Street Fighter 3 - 3rd Strike, Virtua Racing, Virtua Fighter, Matremelee Power Instict, Rage Of The Dragons and heaps more. All online playable

@ZroDfects ... I have this all connected to my 120" full HD roof mounted projector in glorious 16:9... I use wireless Xbox360 controllers that you can get for your PC's..... TMNT or SIMPSONS etc on a huge screen is heaps better than the arcade and plus DENON home theatre audio helps too :)....

I may upload a video someday of my cinema room and I will go through all the Rom games I have, I own all of them for GBA, N64, SNES, MEGADRIVE, AMIGA etc.. They even play on my PSP too..

@kurojin97 mame is a stand alone program, you can put it anywhere. It's best to make sure your rom folder in within the root directory i.e the mame folder you unzipped.

I just downloaded this exact software using a Google search as it is not on your website. I did exactly as you describe in the video. None of the games work.
