@CannotChooseUsername dude i'm sorry but there's no way in hell super mario or contra or megaman could be better than playing super smash brothers with four other friends, or playing some FPS on the internet no wonder we would stay awake playing that stuff until dawn without eating or going to the bathroom, it was just sheer fun, seriously
i do think that games are getting less entertaining with times but that's because as we get older we lose interest in that stuff
lmao. for all those that play soccer games on any game console you notice how you try and try to juke the defense but on most occasions if you just walk through them, they won't even charge you?
i agree.... problem is try getting someone that has only played with newer games to play old.... u get this sucks (bad graphics, sound etc..) dont give it a chance
I grew up with n64 and such, we had an snes/genesis only long enough to beat one game. I'm an avid NES player. I also continue to play N64, and Genesis, and SNES.
so thats why its so darn hard to find. Well, thanks for a great video btw :D but i really need to get my hands on that song...maybe dear old DC++ will do the trick haha
Yes those were indeed the days, I personally think that yes, games are becoming bigger and better, but in graphics and power only! The fun factor is disappearing for me.
I'm going to be honest with you I haven't played it, i've kind of given up with newer games. The newest console I have is a Wii, Xbox's don't appeal to me nor does the PS3! I still have my PS2, N64, Sega Mega Drive, and even a Game Cube. The newest game I downloaded was Streets of Rage Remake, but even that is like playing a 1990's genesis game! The newest Valve game I played was Half Life 2 and in comparison to the original I actually found myself getting bored at the end of it!
It's not just the graphics that annoy me it's also the fact that a lot of games are becoming too much like glorified films! On a typical PC alone games now require so much specs just to work! Maybe one day i'll try Portal 2 when I can bothered to deal with Steam again.
@Alstom1995 Same here man, I only care for oldies and puzzlers. Myst and Riven were my favorites. There was one game that actually required knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, Physics, and something else. But that's beside the point, I hate any new consoles mostly due to the hype, and the fanboy wars. Especially those who play Call Of Duty. I think you and I could be related.
My argument with a lot of games today is designers seem to be more interested in making a piece of art than a game, and it seems to have gotten worse as the years go on. What also sucks is that home gaming has essentially killed a lot of arcades. When I was younger those used to be a cool place to hang out and spend all your money lol! Most of these games u can now emulate but it just isn't the same imo.
You missed a whistle on SMB 3.

not only that the gaming music was so creative since they were limited in what they had to produce sounds.

Yeah maybe we are distantly related lol.
