Wow, that's some good boat handling too. That current is fast! Care was really needed not to crush the plane and the people on it.

Yeah that is something I think has been overlooked : How FAST that COLD water is moving!! It could not have been easy to stand out there on those wings. Had to feel like you were going to fall off at any moment

This is kinda like throwing a paper airplane, the plane is capable of gliding smoothly without artificial thrust. So the feat achieved by the pilot doesn't seem very trivial.

kudos to the crew and passengers at the emergency exits. within 40 seconds the doors were off and passengers already on the wings. From a very reliable source, no panicing and women and children were off first. Well done GREAT JOB TO ALL INVOLVED

For real? Man if that is the case, talk about something to STICK IT TO THE TERRORISTS! They brought our planes down during 9-11 and brought us to our knees. But here, a plane was brought down safely while the new towers are going up! AWESOME!

wow that happened quite smoothly and they were lucky it happened in a populated area and not in the middle of the ocean.
That water looks like it's moving fast too, keep having to move the camera.

The pilot did a fantastic job but don't overlook the flight attendants who had those doors open and everyone out in about 90 seconds through just the front doors and wing exits!
Kudos to the ferry pilots, too, for taking such immediate action. What a model of how it should be done, with no ditching experience!

The pilot himself had experience in landing miltary planes, including gliders. I'm sure his experience definately paid off here
