The war ended in 1570. In february of 1571, they were redistributed in another parts of Spain for security. And Muslims weren't expelled from Spain (if not converted) until 1609-1610. Maybe they didn't change god houses (as you named them) at the beginning (no reliable sources available), but in Spain they changed them. People was able to choose between converting, paying tax for not being Muslim, or being killed in some cases for not being Muslims. "Good" way to make everybody to convert to Islam. As a Copt, I don't believe that it's Islam or Christianity. Christians have a right to practice their faith, and they have a right to own property. This particular Church was boughten by Christians and they had a right to convert it into a Church, just as Muslims would do if they'd bought the property.

I did answer you. There are International Treaties (for example, the ones signed under the UN) and Alliances (for example, the NATO) that makes those States that sign them to fulfill the compromises. If an ally is attacked, and decide to go to war, the other countries have to honor that. It's not as simple as it sounds.

What I do remember is a video I saw here on YouTube of a young Egyptian couple, and their baby daughter, who converted to Christianity.
They were in hiding because there was a Fatuah for their murder, for converting.

Muslims remained in Spain after the fall of Granada. They began a war in 1568 (Granada was conquered in 1492 for the ones who don't know the time). And they named a "king", El Habaqui. The war ended in 1570. In february of 1571, they were redistributed in another parts of Spain for security. And Muslims weren't expelled from Spain (if not converted) until 1609-1610. Because of accusations like they were having treats with North African Muslim countries (treason crime).

And the decision of making Muslims convert or be deported was taken because of some uprisings before 1502. But they were maintained their traditions until their definitive expulsion in 1609-1610. Changing Mosques to Churches? If there were no Muslims, who would use them? The same of Saint Sophia's Church in Istanbul, changed from Church to Mosque. A "tradition" of this time?

Sancta Sophia (or Sancta Sapientia) is a former patriarchal basilica, later a mosque, now a museum in Istanbul, Turkey (source: Wikipedia). So it was converted from a Church to a mosque. You're right, now it's not a mosque, but it was converted first to a mosque.

Maybe they didn't change god houses (as you named them) at the beginning (no reliable sources available), but in Spain they changed them. People was able to choose between converting, paying tax for not being Muslim, or being killed in some cases for not being Muslims. "Good" way to make everybody to convert to Islam. No non-Muslims, no Churches needed. An example: The Mosque of Cordoba was built where was a Visigothic Church.

As a Copt, I don't believe that it's Islam or Christianity. Christians have a right to practice their faith, and they have a right to own property. This particular Church was boughten by Christians and they had a right to convert it into a Church, just as Muslims would do if they'd bought the property.
I know that it's contraversial to say that it wasn't Islam or Christianity, but I don't believe that either faith is responsible.

It wasn't Muslims that followed their religion, it was people that claimed to be Muslim and are using their religion for their own purposes that participated in this "mob".
There are people that claim to be Muslims and Christians that committ absurd attrocities against their fellow man.
I'm most sad about this, because people in America are going to use it as a platform to be prejudice against Muslims that much more then before. It isn't helping, it's hurting Muslims [and Christians].

I'd believe that except there are too many instances of this sort of violence perpetrated by muslims right across the planet. Sad to say, but the only conclusion can be that this is the sort of behaviour which is common among them.
Using the language of appeasement, like "It wasn't Muslims that followed their religion, it was people that claimed to be Muslim" is going to land this whole world in deep trouble. We need to face facts and take immediate action or civilisation will be lost.

There are a number of Muslims doing such criminal acts, but compare the percentages. It isn't even 1%, and there is also people that claims the Christian faith, that also do similar acts in the name of Christianity.
Do we say that those Christians that do dispicable acts, do so because "all Christians are like that"?
This is complicated anthropology but I wouldn't jump on the band wagon of stereotyping an entire group of people because of select instances.

Maybe it's "selected instances", but 20.000 Muslims are NOT "a minority". I know there are Muslim people that don't like that behaviours, but they do nothing (fear of death, perhaps?).

It has helped some people to realize that Muslims are not always that "saints" that they (you) try to make us think they are. And yes, I have a lot of friends, even Muslims. And one thing I don't like of you all (they now I think like that) is that you don't see what people who believe in Islam don't condemn what another Muslims do wrong. Every single example you've put was and is condemned by Christians.

What's Ironic, is that I'm not saying that all Christians are guilty, quite to the contrary, that's what you're suggesting, just with Muslims. And, about Sarajevo and all Bosnia, there's not all told. Some things weren't investigated. The Public Prosecutor, Carla del Ponte, wanted to investigate some crimes (if not genocide, it was never investigated) committed by Muslims in Bosnia, which suffered the Christian Orthodox. She wasn't allowed to follow the investigation. Don't tell you something about the way International Organizations are protecting Muslims (at least some of them)?

I'm not defending the mass genocide of Bosnian people, nor the genocide of another groups (ethnic or religious groups, which are two different things). What I'm saying is that one genocide (the one of the Bosnian people) was investigated, and the other (for example, the accusation of organs -from Serbian people- trafficking -they had to been killed before-) wasn't. Quite interesting, I think.
We all have pictures of the "genocide" of Muslims (stopped by UN forces, wasn't it?).

The Netherlands force is not composed only by Christians. And, besides, UN soldiers only can fight when UN allow them to. So the fault is of... UN!!! In where are represented ALL countries, included Muslims. Muslims countries make UN to hear them in many occasions. Why not then?
And, yes, I've heard a lot of stories of terror about Bosnia, not only between Christians and Muslims but between everyone.

What I want to tell everybody is that all is not how it has been told. It can't be believed that so less people can defeat another people (so many more) using violence. I can't deny, however that some people were violent, but there were laws to punish their behaviors. When deciding the travel of Columbus, laws were dictated by the Queen of Castile considering the people of the territories that will be discovered as the people of Castile (same rights, same obligations).

Don't mix two things. Religion discrimination and racism has not much things in common. And in every religion are people that discriminate basing on race. That's another thing that must be condemned, no matter who discriminates (Christians, Muslims, atheists, Jews,...). I believe all people are equal, no matter which his/her skin's color is.

My idea is that when people are told the story of KKK and their real ideas, people react saying "that's horrible", "we all condemn that behavior". A vast majority of people. Only by seeing that USA elected a black man for their President, you can see that.
The KKK could use whatever they want, even the best thing can be used for evil. But, when good people do nothing to solve a problem, the problem don't stop enlarging. And the KKK no supported by laws nor society.

- No one signed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (the Sharia don't allow a Declaration like that), but they signed another Declaration (1990), according to your religion and saying that the whole mankind is united by the adoration to Allah (sorry, but NO).
- When something is said about Muslims you all run to defend it, even when the reaction is totally disproportionate (some cartoons, remember?).
- Muslims won't see what another Muslims do wrong.

You cannot state about what I'm convinced. But I can about my own convictions.
First, I'm convinced about that, by just denying that a problem exists, the problem won't dissappear.
Second, that by being peaceful with Muslims you'll achieve nothing, but dhimmitude.
Third, that's very easy to say a lot of things from some countries. Not as easy in another parts of the world.
Fourth, that by seeing only Michael Moore's films you won't have the complete image (and I've seen his films).
