How is a passport renewed? What are the steps these days?

It actually comes out to $135 total now for routine service, a $25 application fee and $110 to the passport authority, they say to allow 4-6 weeks for routine processing, but they are coming in pretty quick right now, I got it in last week, it only took about 2.5 weeks from the time the passport authority received my application.

I'm surprised this video has to exist. If you get a passport, you should at least be mentally proficient enough to figure out the process of getting a passport.

Actually, the photo can be taken at the office where you go apply for the passport. They have digital cameras there and when I went to apply for mine, they ended up taking pictures to almost everybody that was there and rejecting the pictures taken at CVS. And also, you can pay with debit card as well. Do your research before going and it'll be a painless (albeit a long wait) experience. You would be surprised at how many people go there and are clueless about the process.

I am my own walking government! If the governments of the earth don't recognize that I am who I am then, forget them. thats cool that you have your own government, enjoixander. Except all the other governments control how travel works between their countries. So you can do whatever you want in your country with your government, but when you use a form of travel in the jurisdiction of a real government you're just gonna have to play by the rules.

So the idea is to not use a form of travel in the jurisdiction of what "you believe" to be a real government! Many "so called" governments have been changed. History proves that the papers that let you in one nation today can get you killed tomorrow in that same nation. If you choose to pay "money" to a government that demands that you apply to their rules in order to leave the country, that is your choice. Please baware that your nation unless you own it will be subjected to instability.

Kidnappers need no special papers. Passports won't protect the kidnapped and can even make a person more attractive because they have one. And in a day and age when corruption is more prevelant than those who defend the law..one must look deeper into their fantasy ideas what government is! If anyone who reads this beleives that they are not their own government...then what are you? Perhaps you are ready to give up your freedom. To be forced to prove yourself through papers is ridiculous!

You sound very intelligent, but like most intelligent but young people, you strike me as naive.

You won't be allowed into any country without a passport. The Law Enforcement agents will see to that. Soldiers of many countries don't carry passports while in the service of their army, but they will still have some kind of photo ID.

Documents can be forged, but they've made them difficult to forge now. Yes it is an foolish system, but it won't change without a change in the way the world is run.

So do you not use fingerprints for passport applications?

I work for a European embassy and we are obligated to include fingerprints in the passport chip due to a request from the US.
