1. How much time does it take from power on to flash ready then flash ready for second photo.

2. how good is image stabilization. You should havve had a moving target to example.

1. I don't really understand the question. If you're wondering about the power-on time, it is about a second. Also, depending on what kind of flash you use (red eye reduction takes longer) it doesn't take long at all to take another picture. basically the camera flashes and then is ready to take another.

2. The stabalization is the most amazing of any camera i have every seen. Basically, at full 72x zoom, you can catch a stand still object with no blur (that's right NO blur, especially...

I go wakeboarding a lot when it warms up and every picture, (we probably use 3 or 4 times zoom, not much but still enough that definetly needs stabilazation because of the fast moving object (wakeboarder)). Stabilization is amazing, in summary. If needed i can e-mail you some "action shots". You can PM me. Also, i have now had this camera for about 2 years and i love every picture. I recently took it to ITALY and it was AWESOME.

i lied, it's only been a year, but god that flew. wow. also, regarding the pictures at the end, the kid jumping was caught midair and no blur as well as the basketball were both action shots that required stabalization, but i understand that you're looking for zoomed stabilazation. check out the video with the british guy (not the WhatDigitalCamera one, theyres another) for a great demonstration.

I think that the FZ18s is just for the silver version and the k is for the black version...

yeah. i didnt even know there was an s or a k at the end, but i think pimpuriaux may be correct. and yes, criotech, the fz18s (silver) is more expensive, usually, for unknown reasons.

Yes. I agree that the powershot is also a very good camera. My friend bought one and he is (as well as I am) very impressed with it. The two are very similar.

Haha. Thanks. Yes, this camera is amazing. I went out wakeboarding yesterday and I took some AMAZING pictures. Ive had this camera now for about 4 or 5 months and every time i use it, i am more and more amazed. Dont forget to leave a rating! :)

Nice review.. But I learnt from the video that you can take good pictures, but your optical and photographic theory is not too good. I recommend you to read book on photography to enhance your skills. Scott Kelby's Dig. Photography books are really good. Mistakes like Pop-up zoom, Botton to take photos, Shutter button, and lack of any technical detail in the review prompted me to comment. All the best dude!!!
