Birth by sleep is set ten years before the first game and this is why, Ventus is an unbirth an unbirth is like a nobody but is born in the relm of light instead of the relm of darkness like a nobody. When Roxas was created ,When sora became a heartless, he didn't have a body because sora went back to normal after becoming a heartless. So he used Ventus' body so Ventus would have been around long before Sora and the others so yes it is ten years before the first one

Just note that Sora released Ven's heart (not Sora's) as they were joined and if Sora released his own it would be irreversible.

So to have two nobodies - split your heart in two.

I think she IS Kairi's nobody. Think about it, in the first game when the Heartless destroyed Destiny Islands, Kairi lost her heart. While I have no clue what would've happened with the Heartless, but that in turn should've created a Nobody, explaining why her and Kairi look so alike.
