I fought on a card that Bambi was the main event on back in '98,m she fought a Japanese champion, was for kickboxing. Dennis Hallman fought on the card, too. Was a big event where Maurice Smith, Frank Shamrock, TK, and Francisco Filho were guests as "The Alliance." Bambi had some serious potential in the late 90s, makes me sad to see this happen to her.
Bambi is an awesome fighter who just lost her confidence. She narrowly lost her first match then won the next three and was tipped as the next big thing. The trouble is she then got too arrogant and lost the next three. She is crying at the end and it is so sad to see her reduced to that.
Does anybody know what happened to Cynthia's brother, Alvin? He used to be one of the top fighters in the country during the 70's and early 80's. I heard that he was shot in the head (but lived), along with his cousin (who was killed) during some incident that happened in LA during the mid or late 80's.
Alvin has opened a school at 403 S. La Brea in Inglewood CA. From what i understand, Cynthia is in on the business. Cynthia is such a cool person with an easy smile. I would have tried to step to her but her students looked like they wanted to kick my ass just for talking with her. (Slight exaggeration)
