  • cool tutorial thanks man, helps a lot

  • i can get about 12 catches

  • That intro was way too hilarious, the tutorial was really good.

I might try that in my next training (after school allows me to..)

    Keep it up!

  • an hour a day for 3 months? How much time do you think I have on my hands??

  • @earlobe417 that's wwwaaaayyy exaggerated... I made it up to around 10 catches average in a few days, in all about 3 hours, then in the next weeks I just did half-minutes here and there in the course of my usual juggling (that's how I accidentally started learning stuff (works amazingly, you'd be surprised at how much you learn while you're not juggling ^^)

bottom line, its easier than you think

  • dude, thanks to you, I can now do the upside down box very well. thank you very much. I do request you do a tutorial on the variations at the end, those are insane.

  • i can do this!

  • @JugglingForCake Ok, I might have been exagerating a little. I was talking about learning it to the point of being able to do at least 100 catches, but as more people have told me how quickly they have learned it, I can see that it is easier than I was thinking. It took me a long time to get it but maybe that's just me.

  • @penguinjuggling how long does it normaly take to juggle 7 balls??

  • @lolmanhonk It took me a little under 18 months of practice to get 100 catches of 7 balls.

  • @penguinjuggling 18 months?? omg... er I have 2 questions:

    1. and how long did you practiced for 50 catches?? xD

    2. how can I learn the 7b cascade?? I would learn the 5b high cascade, then the 5b slow cascade( that my hands will be faster) but how do I have to continue??

sry for my english, I´m from germany :P

  • Amazing work the variations at the end we're fantastic!

  • Wow, my favourite intro to any video EVER!! And cool video. I cant wait to start working on this properly. :-)

  • I mean chris, not christ ;D sry

  • Hi Christ, very cool tutorial, i liked the siteswap images^.^

But i find it very hard to learn the upsidedown box from the one handed. It is a lot better to learn it from the tennis variation at 3:00 - 3:03 . You only need to make the vertical throws as claw catches and it all comes very intuitiv and natural, its way more comfortable, and i think a lot of beginners can do it without any problems, the one handed upsidedown box i think is hard to learn for newbies.

I hope to see more tutorials !:)

  • I just started working on it 10 minutes ago, i'm now able to do the 2 ball exchange one-sided.

  • his box looks really fast

  • nice job! i am going to practice this one.

  • That is 3b Wizardry.

  • Woot I finally qualified this trick today! thanks again for the tutorial chris -- it would have been next to impossible for me to have done so with out it.

  • So about six months ago I commented on this video and said I had been practicing and could almost do it! Well just this morning I finally did it! The one video I have up so far of it is somewhat sloppy, but soon enough I will be posting a nice long clean run of it!

  • @Brntrogdor I saw your video. Looks great!

  • @penguinjuggling Thanks! did you see the video by MURA345 called "Box" it is the one I watched right before I finally was able to do the Upsidedown Box, you should check it out if you haven't yet!

  • @Brntrogdor Yes I did. It is the best box video I have ever seen.

  • @penguinjuggling Yes, he is likely one of the best in the world with the box, so, have you gone for a penguin mills mess yet?

  • @Brntrogdor I tried it but it felt really hard and I didn't like the feel of it much so I gave up.

  • @penguinjuggling Right, it is awkward, but I've got 6/5 catches in it and looking at the video is looks great! So I guess I'll have to work hard on it and be able to do something you can't, just for the sake of doing that. (I have to also add, upside down box feels GREAT)

  • Awesome! Thank you! That was great!

  • an hour a day for 3 months?!

  • @Draitube

It really depends on how good of a juggler you are already. It took me 6 months but I didn't work on it every single day for an hour and I already had a solid seven ball pattern. David Furman says it only took him a day to learn it.

  • Nice tutorial! It would have been better off with subtitles.

  • Alright kid, you started to scare me at the 4:55 mark.

  • good real hard tricks tutorials are rare !!!

  • This is fabulous. Thank you.

  • Great tutorial Chris!! Very well done!! I promise I'll practice this trick now, thanks a lot man.

  • Hey chris. Good tutorial! I love your siteswap "indicators" from about 1.05 I've not seen this before and hope it becomes a standard in tutorial videos. Good job!

  • Thanks. I doubt the siteswap "indicators" will become standard though. I had to place each number in every frame of the video and spent about 7 hours on those 20 seconds.

  • @penguinjuggling Now THAT'S dedication!

  • If you think an hour a day is a lot to spend on a 3 ball trick, then you're not doing hard enough 3 ball tricks!

  • I love the sudden transition when you say "this!" and point... I had to do a few playbacks to get that.

  • Chris, thank u very much 4 this tutorial...

  • thanks a lot, great tutorial

  • i really want to learn this trick, thank you for the tutorial!!!

  • there's not only one inventor for this ;)

  • I know but he did invent it before he saw anyone else do it. He also invented the name for it, which, as far as I know, no one else has done.

  • @penguinjuggling top-box is also common for this
