True they don't pass on their individual traits as they don't reproduce, but the species code itself is replicated, and that is most likely where the source lies.
The main alternative explanation to that, which is proposed by anti-homosexuality activists, is that it is created by the culture and thus is a choice of the individual. The only source I see to support the species itself, is an evolutionary behavior occuring in "specific" species. But within those specific species, it would appear as a "clensing" kind of beautiful if you think of it. Like a tree exploring growth by branch's, duh, healthy ones continue to perpetuate the "tree", unhealthy ones die at no loss to the tree.
I think a phoenix would be a better analogy for that, as the entire species dies and is reborn with roughly the same sexual makeup as it had previously. To use the tree analogy, both "healthy" and "unhealthy" branches die, and are reproduced. One could argue homosexuality is natural, as there are checks on species growth to ensure no species gets too large. Since we have eliminated all natural predators and most disease threats, homosexuality may be the evolutionary way of limiting our growth.

I believe the reason behind the "worship" of homosexuality is that it is discriminated against. The whole black pride movement was mainly a response to people making blacks feel ashamed to be black. Evolution has nothing to do with sexual orientation, it simply states that organisms tend to become more complex over time and species that adapt better tend to survive.

Assuming that after we account for every gene in our bodies, there is no "straight/gay" gene, what exactly is wrong with that choice? In ancient Greek culture, grown men were often assigned teenage boys aged 12-16 as partners in sexual acts as well as fighting. It's simply satisfying a natural human urge. The rates are highest among primates (the species most similar to us, mind you), with over 60% of sexual activity among primates being between members of the same gender. High amounts have also been shown among whales, and about 45% of sexual activity in elephants is also homosexual. It is quite common, lending credence to the "natural" argument. Seeing as homosexuality is not exactly a scientific priority, it has only been studied in roughly 5000 species. That's a 30% rate in animal species, which is, while not a majority, a significant minority that can't be discarded as "fruitcakes" or unnatural. Your thesis that the animal kingdom is being slowly purged of homosexuality is unsubstantiated as there are no previous records to indicate a trend in either direction.
What it is "just proof" of is that it is anything but unnatural.

If a species practiced 100% homosexuality, it would be not only reasonable but a certainty that they would be "purged". However, if a portion of that species is hetero or even bi, then homosexuality would remain. The homosexuals would live their life spans and be replaced by new homosexuals just as the others do. To purge homosexuality in a species with some reproductive members, you would have to change the genetic code, or the culture if you believe it is not innate.

True they don't pass on their individual traits as they don't reproduce, but the species code itself is replicated, and that is most likely where the source lies.
The main alternative explanation to that, which is proposed by anti-homosexuality activists, is that it is created by the culture and thus is a choice of the individual. I feel that doesn't stand up to facts though as it has occurred throughout human history, as well as in hundreds of other species.

But within those specific species, it would appear as a "clensing" kind of beautiful if you think of it. Like a tree exploring growth by branch's, duh, healthy ones continue to perpetuate the "tree", unhealthy ones die at no loss to the tree.

I think a phoenix would be a better analogy for that, as the entire species dies and is reborn with roughly the same sexual makeup as it had previously. To use the tree analogy, both "healthy" and "unhealthy" branches die, and are reproduced. One could argue homosexuality is natural, as there are checks on species growth to ensure no species gets too large. Since we have eliminated all natural predators and most disease threats, homosexuality may be the evolutionary way of limiting our growth.

The middle east doesn't have the same media structure, but it can hardly be argue that has produced good effects. I'm not sure if I remember right, but homosexuality is a crime punishable by death in two nations (Iran and Afghanistan) and is generally impermissible in the rest of the area. In Europe on the other hand, I don't think it is too much of an issue either. Homosexuality is much more tolerated, and thus it is much less of an issue to people.

I lived in Yemen, its not comparable to our system, I wont even try, we would have to deconstruct most of our innate western ideology to make any headway. And you cant lump the entire Yemeni condition into the isolated comparison we are making with media. But here, blacks enjoy a tremendious extention of their culture through media, upon young people, by which the ideas and values of their culture is adding to the form of mainstream america, which doesnt share their history.

That is one of the issues I try to explain to Americans who support the "freedom argument of the Iraq war. Democracy is a very western idea, and it goes against the culture and heritage of Arab principles. Giving them democracy is not freeing them, but rather imposing a western form of government upon an Arab nation. It only alienates them further.
I agree that I can't lump the entire condition to the media, but you seem to be saying that the media is responsible for the cultural upheaval here.

But I was never responding to a purge in homosexuality itself... which is absurd, it obviously performs a natural function, which may appear in greater or lesser instance depending on conditions.

I don't think blacks will be respected by whites in general even if they all "became obamas". It is strong human nature to feel included, and a direct requirement of that need is to exclude others. Race is one of the easiest, if not the easiest, grouping factor.
Asians, for example, tend to do very well and are more successful on average than whites. Yet they are still regarded contemptuously and made fun of by the white majority in general.
I agree that America has slid from Europe though.

Way to resort to an Ad Hominem. Besides, being tolerant of homosexual behavior is far from being so yourself. Other than that, you can not conceivably prove that homosexuality is being purged from the animal kingdom. Considering that you offered no statistics for earlier studies along with this one, you have no basis for that argument. Also, quite a few species are autonomous insects. It would be difficult to determine whether or not they show homosexual behavior. You fail.

Opinionated arguments like this one are a waste of time because they never get anywhere. Homos are annoying. I talk to people all the time at Rutgers and most people that I have met think they are annoying, but don't say anything in public because the media gives this impression that all of a sudden we're supposed to think homos are awesome. After all, the correlation between homos and theatre and fashion is obvious. Of course they would gain some level of acceptance from Hollywood etc.

Hollywood celebrities are, in general, a group of liberal airheads who toe the liberal line no matter what it is. If the liberal and conservative positions were switched, I bet they would too. It has little to do with homos being in theater and fashion.
Your argument is pointless at any rate though as them being "annoying" is no mandate for any legal action. There is a lot of hatred from and towards all different groups... do you really want the government deciding whose hatred to make law?

I believe the reason behind the "worship" of homosexuality is that it is discriminated against. The whole black pride movement was mainly a response to people making blacks feel ashamed to be black. The point is not to worship being black or gay, but to realize it is nothing to be ashamed of and you shouldn't feel as though you are a criminal simply by being who you are.
I wouldn't say homosexuality is a threat to our culture, as it has been prevalent throughout human history.

I agree with the cause that you state, but I don't agree with the effect. Blacks, for example, don't have more rights or power than whites in America, only equal rights. They are still pretty distrusted and ridiculed on a personal level by the white majority. Homosexuals on the other hand do not have equal rights and are only striving for that. The media doesn't glorify homosexual acts, only the equal rights cause of it. Homosexuality itself is still very looked down upon in mainstream America.

Evolution has nothing to do with sexual orientation, it simply states that organisms tend to become more complex over time and species that adapt better tend to survive.
As for homosexuality being weeded out of existence (based on what? Statistics disagree), religion has more of a chance of that than homosexuality, based on pure statistical analysis.
