Yanked me right back to being 14 and seeing the incredibly beautiful California coast as my family drove up Highway 1 for the first time -- one of the happiest times in my life. THANK YOU!
ejdav, Thanks for the quick response. I really like that. :) I'm sorry your band never got off the ground. Is it ok if I link this video to another page and explain the Gene & the Pearls picture?
@bri4daz That's the picture I use on all my songs. When I was a teenager some of us wanted to start a band, and we were going to call it Gene and the Pearls. Gene being the lead and the Pearls being backup. The band never happened, so now, I'm Gene, and the Pearls are the songs I post. Hope that makes things a little more clear for you, and yes those are the Four Lads...Thank you for commenting.
WOW Thanks for posting this. Goes back to 1958 ..my high school days....I kept singing this in my head till I could imitate the music and the words. Little did I know 2 years later in 1960 I would sail to Hawaii and after 5 days of seeing nothing but blue ocean, in the early dawn off in the distance I beheld the Enchanted Island of Oahu. I played this song in my head till our ship docked @ Pearl Harbor.

Recorded on February 16, 1958 (arranged and conducted by Ray Ellis), and used, virtually intact, on the film's soundtrack under the opening titles.

If this is the Four Lads singing, why does the picture on the video say it's Gene & the Pearls?
