@taal123456789 The update is being rolled out since monday, go check in your settings, about phone, system settings. It should be waiting there for you ;). Lol.
i read an article that release for sprint is aug.3....and for the record iphone sucks, dosent even come close to the evo 4g. htc and google got this one right.
I really wanted to wait for WindowsPhone 7 - it still looks interesting, but Android gets hotter every day. And the more I think about it, the more I'd love the freedom of Android. Monodroid will be killer for me.
@jamxt HTC Sense UI is just the UI HTC uses for Android when on a HTC phone. This is an update to the os, not the UI. This is an update by Google, not by HTC
Damn.. The thumbnail for this video, when I saw it in a search, it's a finger across the phone screen, but it took me a couple of looks it looked like a penis on that small picture :P
Anyway... I can't wait, HTC has announced they will give the people who bought phones released in 2010 and update before the year is out, I know that doesn't make it so, but I think Google has an interest to make sure that it comes to Nexus one so yeah let's hope that alone speeds up the process.
@peely64 Of course, you'll be waiting for HTC to update Sense to run on 2.2 - this might take them weeks, it might take them months - and then it's got to go through Orange's approval process. You might be looking at Q4 this year.
@xelectriquex Click on the link in the video description for more on Android 2.2. There are several incentives for manufacturers to give priority to provide upgrades, such as improved memory handling on mid-range Android phones.
@setheroon1 The fragmentation was primarily an issue for third-party developers at the early stages of Android. Going from Android 2.1 to 2.2 is primarily about making Android even more attractive to third-party developers, so there are only winners today.

cobasa 1 year ago
@cobasa yes, unless you have a unlimited data plan
MrBensnake 1 year ago
@cobasa Not on Tmobile, or Verizon, but I think for Sprint you pay 30$ a month .

@infosyncvideos exactly, one of the main things they wanted to do with froyo is to stop android fragmentation.
