as a citisen i am aweare that mistakes a fraction that they are - are made. i take in concideration that i might some day be such a mistake and have to take unjust death penalty. however i know that manny criminals will not let themselves comit murder if they have the knowledge that they will be killed for this in turn. Yes I agree, and further more it has been demonstrated that it does not serve as a deterrent and is not 100% sure that the person executed was in fact the guilty party. It has also be pointed out the it is not (as they say) humane! Animal which are put down by vets have a far more humane death! Also in the case of lethal injection the autopsies have shown that the doses are messed up and the prisoner is paralized and killed in a very slow painful way.

Just the thought of putting an innocent man through that is revolting.
