  • LOL i just downloaded the video and got the samples from there! I WIN

  • @SparkingVideos Not in the long run buddy. Cause your gonna realize you get nothing for nothing!! Good job though man ripping off free samples when they are already free. Could have been alot easier and helped me out all at the same time if you just voted for me!!!

  • where can i find these snare samples?

  • Hey bro I am about to make some videos on my synth techniques. I think we can trade some ideas. You are one of very few on youtube that actually knows what they are talking about. Cheers!

  • best snare tutorial on youtube, subb'd

  • Do one on koan sound bass drums!

  • You really helped open my eyes to this! Thank you!

  • Sorry for spamming, and if you don't mind me asking, what are the specs on your Macbook? I'm starting to take producing more seriously and am considering buying a good Macbook Pro, but don't wanna ABSOLUTELY slaughter my bank account.

  • @LightWillIgniteUsAll 2.4Ghz I5 8gb of mem..Never enough!!

  • Subb'd.

Fucking BRUTAL snare, thank you so much for these :D

  • @LightWillIgniteUsAll Word! Me to!

  • yeah that snare is fucking ill. good shit

  • you heard the new song talk box by koan sound? they actually use different pitches of snares as notes

thanks a lot for the tutorial, became a fan on fb =)

  • that snare is amazing

  • I would've lowpassed the toms at maybe 300-400Hz just to get the tom-ish sound out of the snare sample... you think that would still work/give better results?

  • @OfficialTdotBEAR Sure try different things. The reason I tuned the tom up was so it was mainly hitting at 2-300hz..Thats where that "body" resides in the Dubsnares. So if u low pass it you lose all of that.

  • @TheMavriikk oh no, I get the tuning up bit but I wanted to cut out strictly the top end while keeping that peak around 250 Hz. Whatever, it's all about experimenting and getting the sounds you want... I'll try it and see how it goes.

  • @OfficialTdotBEAR Cool yeah I mean in this tutorial personally I think I went a lil overboard cause I was experimenting also . You can find the right 909 and a clap and eq and compress them to achieve this IM sure.

  • is the fab filter compressor good at all? i scoop that up but i love the simplicity of the H comp

  • @thelucidoracle Yes Its actually very good and capable of doing more then the H-comp like MidSide Etc. Has a different sound characteristic then The Hcomp though. I use it for certain things.

  • what do you mean there playing with the dynamics like altering the eq? through the tune? intro beefer meat of the tune take more?

  • @thelucidoracle The song is "The Edge" by Koan sound. Its actually not as loud as Skrillex, Kill the Noise, Etc But its still limited fairly good but I think they play around with the master volume. Seems to me like they ride it from the intro till where it drops. You can do tricks like that and give the perception of dynamics and still Limit like crazy..Thats what I meant

  • This guy has a sick laugh.

  • Just watched both parts, thanks dude, really good! Keep them coming!!

  • Nice :P add me up on skype. tristam4262

    Im a canadian producer.

im pretty positive we have things too share xD

  • Dude, on the snare download link it says its at it's download limit, it cant mean me because i've never used that site before.
