  • has anyone ever tried sani-tred? that stuff is painted on, actually bonds to the surface below it, and can be touched up if there is ever maintenance required (new bonds to old at molecular level).

  • I have been tasked with repairing a Duradeck which had a couple of holes in it. Un fortunately the owner was not aware and the plywood underneath has become rotten. We will be looking at something else for replacement. Any recommendations?

  • I think someone here has an ax to grind; maybe an installer of a different product :)?

Vinyl cleans on a deck like it does in your house. Why should it be different?

  • LOL. Completely maintenance-free? What a joke. Have you seen how dust, dirt and stains collect on a Duragrid surface? You can be out on your deck scrubbing forever, and it's still not clean. What if you get a hole in it? Then you have a nasty unsightly patch that you will see every time that you are on your deck. Sorry, but Duradek is not the way to go.

  • This is a great product. I had my deck covered with Duradek a few months ago. I was getting so tired of having to maintain my deck each year in order for it to not become a complete slippery slide once the rainy season hit. I would highly recommend Duradek Seattle if you are looking for a reputable installer in the Seattle area. They did a great job.
