GLad you can see where I'm coming from with the whole 'only one match announced 2 weeks into the build' thing just cuz I think it is a glaringly obvious error from the WWE, which says a lot about their writing (or lack thereof of long term writing)

@MrParkin01 Heres my thoughts. The problem I have with most WWE PPV is that there is very little story to some of the matches. It is so easy to tell that matches have been thrown together just to showcase 'superstars'. The storyline is what gets fans interested and form an opinion on who they want to win and why. When matches are threw together a week or 2 before a PPV, they are usually squashed right after. Advertising the next PPV during a PPV diminishes the current PPVs relevance.

It really showed when Vengeance got the lowest buy rate for a WWE PPV since December to Dismember

@420goonie Thanks, I enjoy being creative with those intros lol... There are very little feud going into TLC that have been made very obvious (Orton/Barrett being the exception)... Hopefully Show/Henry will have a tables match or something, the blow off match so to speak... Tbh I think no PPV should be filler necessarily, they should put effort into all there PPV's we have to pay for... These next to weeks will be very congested with PPV hype and booking... And I personally think that Cena should win because he is working for WWE whereas Rock isn't and I hate it when guys like Rock who aren't working for the company end a PPv on top (like WM27 for example)... There are too many PPV's, and I don't feel that is the problem for this PPv, I just feel WWE have been really lazy with their build... You hit the nail on its fucking head Daniel Parkin. Vengeance got more build than this PPV. This PPV had a whole month's time to pull some build off. Why didn't they? Because they don't know what the fuck they're doing. I'd book Zack Ryder against Dolph Ziggler in a ladder match for the US strap. I'd put Brodus Clay on the fucking card...maybe against like a Santino or somebody...I'd have the Orton and Barret match be a tables match. No idea for Henry, maybe Kane returns?

No long term writing, re-writes on the day lead to this type of build where WWE are trying to shift things around loads going into a PPV which they haven't even mentioned yet lol... May as well have Ziggler lose the US strap to Ryder to move him up the card, Brodus needs to fucking debut already! Orton/Barrett is a definite match, and Henry v Show with a Kane return would be good

@ventekid If you were going to do something with this card you'd probably have to eliminate something else - eight matches is probably enough. In an ideal world something that would be cool would be to have Brodus debubted for a while have him squashing people every week, then have Miz beat him, in order to re-establish Miz's credibility. But if you wanted to add Miz to the current card, you could throw him in against Cena in a Tables match somewhere and have him win.

I would much rather have a head booker with 1 or 2 below him, that way, storylines are not so complex and convoluted, it has a simple diction that can get from point A to point B whilst stretching a storyline out 3/4 months. They should take a transitional timeout in which they book wrestler A and wrestler B to fight over said Championship and completely wipeout all the nonesense power struggles which have been done to death. Simplicity is key.

@Perfected123 That is the way it should be done, but Vince has so many dam writers and the shows gets re-written so much that the result is a very poorly built show with not much direction (remember the saying 'too many cooks spoil the broth')... Simple booking can be better booking, and stretching out storylines has been a vague concept in WWE lately also... I totally agree with what you said about booking, and I feel that is how SD is operating in the writing department at the moment

Secondly it was more to do with him writing for Raw and the show being a massive failure due to the amount of over-writes... Vince may still be making money from WWE and was a very successful CEO, but from how the direction WWE has gone recently, we at least need to start questioning Vince's ability as a full time owner now

@MrParkin01 If RAW was a massive failure like you are making it out to be (which it is not) then...it wouldn't be around anymore. WWE is always rewriting things, its been like that since the 80s. Nothing is ever set in stone and multiple stories are written months in advance to one, counter the internet wrestling community of constantly posting spoilers or spoiling a major storylines (Chris Jerichos return being one of them a few years ago) and if one thing doesn't work out, they have a backup.
