    I actually have an audio clip of the "correct" version of this opening. At the time this aired, I didn't have TV service, but I did have online service (thank God - I would have gone crazy without it) and was able to watch the CBS Evening News online. I was in the habit of using Total Recorder to record the audio of the Evening News opening nearly every day.

    I never even knew this existed. Once again, thanks for putting it on YouTube.
