The title says crab scratch but it's actually called a hydroplane. You have to get just the right amount of pressure. It's a very light touch.

I figured it out. make sure your finger is dry and push up against the way the record is spinning. use the other hand to push the record forward. Use real light pressure and angle your hand so its relatively level with the record. I can get it to work about 60% of the time. Good luck.

Yeah defiently understand your point. I've always just used vinyl without any time coded programme, I guess with serato and scratch it gives a whole new perspective on the art from. Although the most freshest raw stuff will always be just the good old two decks, a mixer and a pile of wax :D
