Your never in a sling for 6 months with a torn bicep. Maybe he had the bicipital tendon snap and surgery to reconstruct it or something. The bicep as im sure you know is a muscle and a muscle tear could be minor or severe. As an ex pro I know a little about muscle tears and I have known players play 2 weeks after a hamstring tear and other players be out 6 weeks. why? obviously the severity of the tear and the resultant heamotoma and associated issues along with quality of rehab etc etc!

what most likely happened is he ruptured his distal biceps tendon, notice the large bulge right under his shoulder. doctors usually treat this without the use of surgery.
he was proably doing a curl with too heavy a weight, and when his arm was completely extended, his bicep buckled and the distal tendon tore or ruptured.

He said his tendon was torn, and if you look at him before, during and after the fight you can easily see his left bicep is twice the size of his left.

i know some one who tore his bicep, he was in a sling for 6 months and needed surgery, not to mention the pysio he had to have for a further 4 months to get back to half strength, ok people react different to injurys but theres no bruising or nothing on his arm, but dont tell me its because his roy jones he can alter the laws of nature with his mind.

clearly you have no idea about human musculature. the arm is supported by more than just the biceps, infact the back, more specifically, the latisimuss doris major, supports and empowers the arm, a torn bicep would hinder the use of uppercuts and hooks as seen in there fight.
A calzaghe fan i assume, "oh he didnt knock out trinidad, he cant beat calzaghe" or something like that is your rationale, and when he presented a logical explanaition you retorted with "it would just flop around".

wow shit u must of read some books or googled torn bicep,ok his arm wouldnt flop about whats ur point, that im not a docter on human muscles,if his bicep was torn away from where its anchored to the bone or just torn would he be able to move the arm properly let alone fight, my point is he could be over exagerating the injury thats all, i didnt need a lecture on how the bodys put together, and no im not a calzaghe fan, infact i beleive he will beat him, if he fights like he used too.

pre-med, so no i didnt google shit. and do you guys listen at all? rewind to 0:35, he said "i did it 3 weeks ago". he proably did need a sling WHEN IT FIRST HAPPENED, it was pretty healed up by the time of the fight but you can tell by the swelling its not fully healed.
what makes you guys think it happened while he was fighting tito?

he might've legitamately torn his bicep tendon but i doubt that, as the recovery time for such an accident is around 12 weeks
what most likely happened is he ruptured his distal biceps tendon, notice the large bulge right under his shoulder. doctors usually treat this without the use of surgery.
he was proably doing a curl with too heavy a weight, and when his arm was completely extended, his bicep buckled and the distal tendon tore or ruptured.

Not particularly impressed with joe clazaghe i think hes very fortunate he came at a time when there werent many good fighters, plus technically hes not very good lacks power and has no style. Most of the people he fights now are well past it and he just about survived against hopkins! Roy jones a few years ago wouldve completely humiliated Joe Calzaghe but now hes an old man.
