  • @opksguy1981 the drops are small and a couple in a row...its all in the dark so you cant see them coming...smaller kids can ride with an adult im not sure the height requirement tho...they also have a childrens area with smaller roller coasters if they are young enough. another ride is thunderation its not a huge rollercoaster. i hope that helps

  • Im going march14

  • Never been to SDC, but thinking about going there with my niece and nephew later this spring--wanted to know if the drops on this coaster are large drops or just smaller drops? Niece and nephew meet the height requirements, but don't like the larger roller coasters (drops of 100 feet plus)

  • @lemonite1 its voted the best amusement park food in the country..VERY good! kinda pricy tho

  • funnest ride ever!!!

  • I heard that the food at Silver Dollar City is very good.

  • @lemonite1 It is. They have a place down by the Saloon where they fry pork rinds out in the open, they have samples sitting out and you can buy a bag. They have an old fashioned candy store. But the food is great.

  • fred flanders!!!

  • I loved this ride! you just coast along..... and then all of a sudden you drop its the shit! classic

  • I love fire in the hole!

  • pants? i aint got no pants no more

  • if you were stuck in there long enough, the strange music over lapping eachother, and the dark could make u go crzy! O.o

  • Thumbs up if you love to yell out fire in the hole right before you go down xP

  • is this ride meant to be scary? Or fun, like for kids? This video looks eerie

  • i LOVE this ride!

  • There's a pretty big chunk of this ride that is gone. Back in the 70s, right after you dive beneath the burning bridge and you see the moon and stars, there's a whole section where you meet more Baldknobbers, one of the Baldknobbers tries to drop a rock on you, and you curve around to the next floor above, where you approach what appears to be a cliff, before avoiding it at the last second. You then move toward the train, which is where the current track picks up during the ride.

  • @Beergut222 i rode yesterday and it is like that. Maybe they were restoring it or cleaning it when you rode it!

  • dang bald knobbers took my pants too.

  • classic silver dollar city ride, i got there every summer at least two or three times, and of course during christmas, and i ALWAYS ride fire in the hole(: how can you not?

  • Fire in the hole as been at SDC since the beginning. Did ya'll now that back in the late 1970's early 1980's a man got decapitated on this ride? It's true.

  • @DougMcCallister1 WHAT?!?!

  • @DougMcCallister1 yeah, supposedly when they yell "Fire in the hole" a snake fell down into the seat he was riding in, making him jump up right when the ride went down, and the edge of the roof took his head off. that's the version of the story I heard, anyway. I think it was just something they made up, cause it's not the only version there is. However, after googling it a bit, a site I read said it was based off an actual event, so I don't know.

  • LOL, this ride. I've been going to SDC since I was a kid and I remember riding this ride most of all... It's an oldie but a goody. I was actually riding FItH with my friends, back in 2002.. I think it was.. and we were nearly to the end.. and the coaster all the sudden STOPPED right in the middle of the track. We were all like WTF is going on .. then the lights came on and they made us all get off the coaster and walk out through the emergency exit.. don't know what was up with that.. but.. yea

  • OMG. This ride is SOO old XD I grew up near Branson. I remember when this and Thunderation were THE rides to go on

  • I LOVE this ride...but the first time...Like I thought we were gonna crash into the train and when we went down, it was just like BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • We just got back from Branson and SDC> Took my son on "Fire in the Hole" and he was screaming bloody murder b/c of the "Baldknobber" characters. Even my wife said that the masks they wore were demented looking. I think they were cool

    , I want one for halloween. :)

  • lolls iim not goiin tw liee wen ii fiirst got on tha riide i wus scraed cause idd wus darkk bud its ah kool riide

  • @gabbysalot learn how to spell

  • love this ride

  • How did no one scream P_P

  • i havent been on it yet....i went yesterday and it broke down right before i got on

  • @vpfan207 its reallly small but ehat makes it scary is its dark

  • hehe the legend where the lady stands up and chops her head off :(

  • I've read (on more than one website) that in 1980 a man died on this ride :P By human error, a train (with riders in it) was switched into a service area, because it was thought to be empty. The 26 year old man's head became stuck between the back of his seat and a low wooden beam. Sorry to ruin your fun, I was freaked out when I rode this after knowing someone died on it :P

  • @lurancyvennum97 Don't you think they have "better" safety protocols? It is a great ride!

  • @0loves0apple XD IKR? It is :)

  • @lurancyvennum97 Really?

  • @donnielover1 MM hmm :P Its not just on wikipedia either, because yeah, that can be edited XD Its on some ride accidents site as well. Kind of ruins the fun when you're sitting there nervously in the car on the ride thinking about it XD

  • the smell of that ride takes me back to when i was a kid

  • I rode this two days ago and got the front seat. Of course when he yells fire in the hole water gets splased un the front seat in your face

  • I've heard about this ride since the 70's. Now I'm seeing it for the first time and I don't get it. Are we riding through a house that's on fire? Are we supposed to be riding through a hick neighborhood in the middle of the night on a train? I thought this was a type of coaster, but from the looks of it, it resembles more of a spook house ride than anything.

  • @VIEWTUBE00000 you don't ride it for thrills, you ride it for the history (and to get cooled off) let me explain, this park is "set" in the time when the "baldknobbers" (arsonists) were setting the whole town ablaze, so you're riding throught the town, seeing people's home's get burned to the ground, and then you get wet =3 (btw, the baldknobbers are the ones with the funnt b/w striped bunny-looking hats on, and sometimes they'll have guns)

  • @VIEWTUBE00000 you have to ride it to acually enjoy it, this video doesnt compare to the ride its self

  • @VIEWTUBE00000 It's the very first roller coaster Silver Dollar City ever had. It still stands today. It it a roller coaster that takes you through a time when "baldknobbers" are setting the city ablaze. There are many different scenes in it, and there are three sudden drops. It's all inside in the dark. Sometimes you get wet if you're setting in the right location. Usually it's only the first two cars that get wet. It's an old ride, but it's a classic, and it's a blast! One of my favorites.

  • I was here yesterday and someone was recording in front of me and i was omg how does he freakin do that!? Id be scared to death of droppping my camera!!

  • OMG I love fire in thew hole!!!!

  • CLASSIC!!!

  • Lady: Red Flanders, come back in here and put on your pants!

Red Flanders: Well honey, I ain't got not pants no more. Dang Baldknoppers stole 'em!

    Lady: Stole 'em?

  • Baldknobbers = Scariest things on the planet. xD

  • Oh my gosh, thank you for uploading this! Flashback time! :D

  • XDDDDD I would have been scared to whip out mah camera o3o

    All losin' it and mhm

  • just like blazing fury at dollywood

  • i love the end. they spray water on you. except in the winter. just a little bit in the winter. but there are a few hills you go down. and sometimes you dont know when they will happen.

  • Lady: Paul, you come back in here and get your pants on!

    Paul: I can't! I ain't got no pants anymore!!

  • @KnucklesEchidna125 Paul? xD

His name is Red Flanders. xD

  • i rode that today!

  • This ride is nearly identical to Blazing Fury at Dollywood

  • @75249 Dollywood used to be Silver Dollar City Tennessee. It isn't really a shock that they have similar rides.

  • idk if it me but i have rode this ride a lot when i was little i i remember a lot ..but about two year a go i rode it and it seemed like ever thing changed i remember a water fall with blue lights on the bridge that was on fire it was not there the last time seemed like there was a lot of stuff that changed : / if it did i miss the old one

  • Legendary ride. Not that intense, but when you don't know what's coming next, it can take you by surprise.

  • i go there every year with the band and i LOVE it its the best part of the whole year sdc is the only theme park ive been too and i have great memories there

  • you shoule of put the camera in night vision so we could see what the hell was going on

  • I rode this when I was about 4 years old and all I had was this vague memory of a light coming at me and then going fast suddenly. This is the first time I've seen it since then, and now it kind of makes sense. I just remember I was terrified as a 4 year old.

  • ive got a vague memory similar to yours, i went to silver dollar city when i was about 6 or so...and i was terrified...all i remember a guy making an evil laugh and they said "fire in the hole" and we dropped...thats about it.

i'd love to go back and re-ride it.

  • @Shipuh Yeah, I remember someone saying "Fire in the hole" too. I need to go back sometime.

  • This is an all time classic. It's been here since the park debuted.

  • that ride is my favorite i go to silver dollar city every summer and also white water

  • come back in here and put on your pants!

  • @papatyi well i aint got no pants no the dang baldknobbers stole"em

  • @papatyi Well Sadie I ani't got no pants no more. The damn baldknobbers stole em.

  • THAT WAS FUN I WENT ON IT THIS SUMMER!

  • I adore this ride. Do they still have that stupid laser tag crap all over the Flooded Mine? I hate that they did that. At 33 I can actually remember Rube Dugan's Diving Bell. :)

  • Me too! I'm 34 and remember Rube Dugan's Diving Bell! I'm not a fan of the guns in the mine either, but what can you do?

  • when i went on it a couple months ago some kid that was like 5 or something cried

  • wow those people didint even scream when i rode it people did

  • i thought that ride was super boring

  • It's The World's Oldest Roller Coaster in the Dark!

  • haha i rode this when i was 6 it scared the living shiz out of me XD

  • When I went on this ride with my dad, afterwards I ended up hyperventilating. Lol.

  • I loooooove this ride . my mom grew up with it . i miss it . i havent been in 3 years

  • Fire in the hole is CLASSIC... But i cant compare it to wildfire... -.-

  • i went on this ride before! the first time i went on this ride me and my friend we in the very front and we screamed so loud when we got wet when it said "FIRE IN THE HOLE!!" LOL fun times

  • I love fire in the hole lol

  • I'm going here with my friend. We're looking for rides we'll pee our pants on. any suggestions????? And this looks like fun!!!!! If u guys want a fast ride go on Raging Bull. It's fun!!!!

  • raging bull is not at silver dollar city??

and there is three real roller coasters here. Wildfire. Powderkeg. and thunderation. Wildfire does flips. Powderkeg goes fast as fuck. and thunderation does corkscrews.

  • Hey! I went there a couple of weeks ago. If u really want cool rides go on Powder Keg and Wildfire! :) ITS AWESOME!

  • I'm 12, ride this ride everytime, yet I never have been afraid of it.

  • how scary is the ride im going in the morning HELP!!!

  • not at all.

  • sorry but i think this ride is pointless

  • i have been on it my little sis cryed her head off!

  • usually wen i ride at least one person screams lol

  • wildfire use to be smooth now its getting kinda rough but still alotta fun

  • I was in the front row of this ride when i was like 5, I was so freakin scared of the train thingy LOL

  • this isnt the best ride but it is fun wildfire is by far my favorite ride

  • Durning the darkness it goes down which i never got how it worked... then again it was dark so i have no idea when it went up or down

  • does it ever go up or down?

  • I love this ride!! it's sooo fun!!

  • i got stuck on thunderation in the rain and we had to walk on the track it was super scary

  • they did someone got decapitated the day i was there i wasnt actully on the ride but i was in line wating for it yeah it was pretty scary they closed down the ride for the day

  • are u sure somebody got decapitated at silver dollar city???

  • yeah

  • how did someones head get decapitated

  • ya i live only an hour away also

  • I havevnt been on this in years. I live about an hour away too.

  • i live like an hour away fromm there

  • me to

  • i rode this when the skeleton poured water on us, i was five, (2001), and if i rode it now i wuldnt be scared but when i was five it freaked me out!

  • I thought someone got decappitated on this ride! Someone stood up right before it went down and it took there head off!

  • This one sucked! It is for little kids or people that don't like roller coasters....it just goes straight most of the way and has 2 drops that last like 3 seconds. The only good part is getting wet lol.

But everywhere else in Silver Dollar City was great!

  • oh and we got stuck at 2.11.

  • oh i was on this when it got stuck once!

  • isnt this at dollywood?

  • one like this is

  • i went on saturday and it was shutdown rofl

  • you guys didnt yell fire in the hole!!!!

  • I've been on that ride many times. One of my brothers said he one of the times he went on it, it stopped, too bad I wasn't there :(

The atmosphere of the ride is freaky. All of the smells and the sounds make it feel scary.

A long time ago my oldest brother was in the front car and we were heading up to the first drop where it looks like there's a sign or wooden thing to hold on to. He held up his arms trying to grab it and WOOSH we started going down.

  • i think we went on this one at least 4 times when we went back in july! One of the funnest rides ever!!!

  • Man, I haven't been on this ride since the summer of '97. Still exactly the way I remember it!

  • I went on a month ago...it probably hasn't changed at all....

  • It's so great to see a video of this up! I haven't had the chance to ride this in years, but I have many times. I remember being so scared my first time as a child.

    Wonderful tradition.

  • I rode it when i was six.. I was so scared, now I love it.

  • this was an awsome ride

  • A fun little ride! :)

  • I love Silver dollar city...and use to go there every year as a kid but i never rode this ride because i was to scared...still won't ride it but nice to know what it was

  • OMG it's so fun! You have to ride this some day it's not scary at all!

  • dude, it should'nt be scary, its dark, and theres like 1 or 2 drops, and their small

  • you have nothing to be afraid of most of the ride it goes in circles really slowly it doesnt speed up to the end of the ride the only thing that will scare is if you sit in the first see and see the train at the end because it looks like your going to crash into each other but you drop down then a few turns and a small splash a water and thats it

  • I been to branson 5 times and i live in texas. We go there every year. This maybe be the best ride but if u sit in the back you almost fly off the track.

  • FIRE IN THE HOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Should be called WATER in the hole for it's splash down ending.

  • if you notice when the ride ends the picture of the old dude has a toe sticking out of the picture

  • this ride is soo fun

  • Great ride

the reason this ride is so busy is because its so nostalgic, & the kids can ride it too, its INSIDE & its not too scary.

  • my favorite ride at my favorite theme park!

  • I am surprised that this ride is so popular. i mean every time i go there it has the longest line(besides powder keg)

  • When we went it wasn't busy. It was hot so the water rides were PACKED.

  • same here that tobaggon line was 4 a mile glad i didnt stand in it lol
