you are of your father the devil no one have the right to change GODS WORD MITCHELL THIS IS BIGGER THEN RICK OR ANY OTHER PERSON WRITE NO READ A LETTER FROM GOD THE BOOK OF ROMANS AND REPENT
God bless Mitchell Gold. Yes, people should love gays as God's creations. However, just as heterosexuals are wrong to violate God's law with sex before marriage, so wrong are gays to engage in gay activity. I apologize on behalf of evangelicals who use the Bible to justify wrong attitudes. However, please don't let their words stand between you and God's best. Rick Warren welcomes you to his church. So do other such preachers. I love you and God bless you.
The Bible has much to say about homosexuals. Read it and see........it is an obomination, and those who practice this lifestyle will not spend eternity in heaven.
Which is the only true god?? You people make me laugh...Yahweh, the Christian version of Yahweh, Allah, Zeus, Thor..you are an atheist of all other gods but your own; I am an atheist of all gods. What makes your god the right one, and all others wrong?
Bard, Why have you allowed the devil's objective to be made manifest in your life? If Jesus is the Way, The Truth, and The Life, would not the devil work very hard to corrupt those who confess Him with their lips, even more then all others?
So because of corrupted Christians walking in foolishness, you have denied Christ AS HE IS, while the majority of Christians follow a false christ...
Know the Truth, Christ AS HE IS, and the Truth will set you free. These churches will be judged! God bless!
As a teen, I was perceived as being gay (although I wished for nothing more than a girlfriend) and suffered intensive abuse and regular beatings - justified in the Holy Name of Jesus.
This is why I reject Christianity and all organized patriarkal religion. I'm sure the historic Rabbi of Nazareth was a wise man and was certainly a great spiritual teacher, but I suspect he would be shocked and dismayed to find himself used as the justification of so much wretchedness today.
So you will deny yourself a relationship with The Creator because a group of insensitive people treated you criminally. Sir Your soul is much more valuable than you know. All people get treated poorly. Some use Jesus Holy name to justify it. Don't miss Heaven because of someones violence.
I appreciate your concern for "my" soul, and I am glad that you have found some measure of peace through the path you have chosen.
I will continue to question anyone or anything outside of myself who claims spiritual authority. "God/Goddess" reveals him/herself to each person individually in my experience -and I think we all delude ourselves when we think of ourselves as "separate" from the Divine. (By the way, it was a 13th century Christian mystic - and a woman - who first said that.)
I have a hard time understanding why gay people pine for the acceptance of people like Rick Warren. In grade school, I noticed that for every popular click, there were many other groups who defined themselves with respect to the popular click, either they despised them or wanted to be accepted by them. This is the same situation, gays should quit looking up to the exclusionary groups. Do your own thing, be your own group, define yourselves with respect to yourselves, ignore the others.
It's not that easy. We have to care about the kids in Warren's church: very difficult for a 14 year old to ignore him and their parents. These kids are in an emotioinal crisis. Glad you are not and strong enough to ignore those who don't accept you. And the bigots vote like in Calif denying equal rights. So even though we might not like it, we do need to educate and 'pine for the acceptance'. At least until LGBT people have full and equal rights.
Your words come at a crossroads in history. It is time for the country to holistically practice tolerance and walk the talk of change. It is hard to understand why Pastor Warren would be part of a celebration of change; we can only hope that voices of reason and agents of change will prevail in the future
Thank you so much for your very brave letter to Rick Warren. His teachings are dangerous to our entire nation. What's worse is that undoubtedly his prayer tomorrow will be televised, but Gene Robinson's wasn't.
Thanks for reaching out in so calm, reasoned, and eloquent a manner. Appreciate your vigilance on this issue, helping America appreciate all its citizens.
Please President-elect Obama, please watch this video and then ask Rev. Warren to do the right thing. Promoting bigotry as religion is just plain unAmerican.
This is RIGHT ON!!! Thank you for standing up and being clear, concise and to the point on this issue. The day will come when bigotry against homosexual people that is religion based will only be found in extremist and dying fringe religions and relegated to the dustbin of the past.
I have alwsys enjoyed what Mitchell Gold has had to say. Even though I am a straight Christian and he is a gay Jew, we share a lot in common and I really enjoy listening to anything he has to say. I hope that Rick Warren takes this letter to heart. He could be such a force for good if he does.
Judging the quality of one person's love for another seems to me a singularly un-Christian thing to do. Is there so much love in the world that God wants us to try to extinguish some of it?
Thank you, Mitchell, for your wonderful work promoting understanding and compassion.
Thank you so much for delivering this video letter to Pastor Warren. You have done so much for the GLBT spiritual community in a compassionate, highly intelligent and thoughtful way. Hopefully Pastor Warren will open his heart and mind and understand your words. Keep up the awesome work. Enjoyed having you on the show in Nashville.
The logic in the comparison is clear to those of us with a homosexual orientation. I have no "homosexual agenda", except to hope that one day people like you will come to understand that my sexual orientation IS like my race, skin color, etc. I didn't choose to be gay. I didn't wake up one morning and decide that I would do something to cause many of my friends and family to stop their relationships with me. My sexuality is no different to me than yours is to you. Did you choose?

My hope is that some day "people like you" will come to understand that homosexuality is wrong along with many, many other wrong things. Wrong is wrong. I still love you guys (or gals) but I don't agree with your homosexual behavior. I have homosexual friends. They understand my viewpoint and I understand theirs but we don't call each other names. That's tolerance of the behavior...not acceptance. This whole issue is a volatile one and I just hope that one day the name-calling can stop.
My bad. I didn't realize that you were so sensitive. I won't say people like you anymore. What would you like to be called? I don't want to unintentionally offend you. However, I do think you missed my point. You say wrong is wrong. What makes it wrong? Is it wrong to be heterosexual? Not according to you. So why is my natural inclination any less valid than yours? My lifestyle is probably pretty similar to yours. I just happen to be in a relationship with someone of the same sex.
My hope that people like you will come to understand that dumb is dumb and your ignorant and stupid comments about homosexuality has ABSOLUTELY NO BASIS IN TRUTH!!!

I am amazed how promoters of the homosexual agenda continue to equate their homosexuality with differences in skin color, race or gender It's obvious that these are not equal comparisons and yet this argument continues to be brought up. I'm amazed that you continue to use this as proof that people who don't agree with you are hatemongers, homophobes or bigots. There is no logic to such a comparison.
Not all types of prejudice are exactly the same, but the dynamic is the same no matter what group is the target. Prejudices are judgments about others based ignorance, misinformation and blind hatred. If you can't see the logic in comparing anti-gay prejudice to racism or sexism, then you must not have an accurate understanding of what it means to be gay.

There it is again! "Blind hatred". I never said that I hate homosexuals...you did! By the same token, I could say that you are misinformed, ignorant and have a blind hatred towards people that have a different viewpoint than yours. This is an argument that we will have to agree to disagree on. Where I have the biggest issue is when you take the low road and have to resort to name calling. I will continue to believe that the practice of homosexuality is wrong and so is adultery and gluttony.
Can I recommend that you read the book Mitchell Gold recommends - Crisis? What would it take for you to open your mind to the possibility that homosexuality is not a practice, it's part of the human condition?
Fair enough. I don't know if you hate or not. So let's focus on a dictionary definition of prejudice: "preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience." Who are you to judge gay people? Where do you get your evidence that homosexuality is "wrong"? If the best you can do is quote Bible verse, you need to realize that many people, including Christians, believe those verses are being taken out of context and misused. If you have other evidence, I'd like to hear it.

The real Crisis is the turning away from Christ. We are catapulting towards the Last Days.
Sodomy is a sin of the highest order. God did not destroy the Sodom for nothing.
As in the days of Lot so shall the end come, see Luke 17:28-29.

But, remember 1 thing, 1 day we will all have to face the Almighty God in judgement. I pray for your soul.
