My point is they aren't "new Americans" until they apply for entry and assimilate or at the very least learn English. Their refusal to assimilate or practice birth control is too much of a burden on MD at this point. I'm in favor of welfare and similar programs for real Americans, but its unaffordable if we are paying for all of Mexico too. I'm just saying the pop growth and birthrate of illegals is out of control and Omalley wants to worsen it.

I am a democrat but I am going to vote for Ehrlich I'm thinking, my first time voting Republican. Governor Carcetti from the Wire is a scheister and Grumpy Ehrlich is kind of a simpleton. Neither one is going to do much. At least when Ehrlich was governor the the taxes on the poor and middle class were a lot lower oddly. That coupled with this "new Americans" garbage is making me vote Ehrlich even though I don't want to. The Dems make me sad

First of all if we pay tax because we live here we should have some money spent on us plus we make up a significant part of maryland and do jobs most americans wouldnt want to do like construction so if you enforce these immigration laws by deporting more people then you would lose tax money and other fees you receive from us causing an economic downturn

@sclubdevin I'm sorry, not from my angle, it hasn't. Thats pretty much the reason why I moved out of the city 8 years ago. I have been living in that city for 16 years before and when our neighborhood has gotten worse me and my family reached up to a point where we said "Enough is enough." So we were able to move out of the city and since then, I never looked back. Bit it's gotten more worse after that & O'Malley pretty much messed the state up. I hope he does get voted out for someone better.

@changeup26, The city has DEFINITELY gotten better. I don't know if you just visit the city, but I live here in the heart of it, and I can tell you it really isn't that bad. I think the Maryland electoral base is relatively "retarded" on the issue. If both candidates directly answered the questions and didn't simply rehash the same slinging that's been going on the campaign commercials, this debate would have been 15 minutes instead of an hour. When someone asks what you're going to do, you don't answer them by rattling off statistics on what's been done in the past 4, 6, or 10 years.

I'm not a Demlican or a Republocrat, and I've voted mixed tickets for years, depending on the person / office. When I saw this debate video was "fact checked" I was hopeful for good comments. Then I noticed the "fact check" was basically anti-Ehrlich and pro-O'Malley, I wondered what was up, and then noticed the video was posted by "governoromalley." also it is an hour CBS video (no copyright violation?) Therein lies the answer: a liberal Dem hack from CBS Bal'more.

Do not pay attention to most of the "fact checks" in this video. They are skewed and false. "Look at the body language" comments pointing at Governor Ehrlich are wrong. What a attack. This is a shameful attempt to skew the debate publicly. Instead of watching this one, attempt to find a copy of the debate that is not skewed on either side to make a better choice.
