  • Good form!

A tip(hint): Stand ,,deeper" and practice the horse stance 3 mins a day. If you do that your form will look more elegant.

  • not monkey form.. thats a fact

  • @elbori187 You're comparing it to Shaolin Monkey Form. It's not the same. In Wun Hop Kuen Do Kung Fu, it is Monkey Form.

  • What kind of monkey is this, the karate monkey?

  • is doch ganz o.k.

  • whoever told you that was a monkey form lied to you mister

    XD

  • Looks like a Karate for to me

  • @hapkidopip Partly correct. Considering your screenname, you should recognize it's influence from Tang Soo Do.

  • it looked like a half assed shaolin form your blocks are too low and your stances are weak

  • half assed , I think you are being too polite here. It is like Corky ( life goes whatever) taking karate classes.

  • You only touched the surface. No flow at all. I have seen karate more smoother than this

  • @Jxr3r That is his own expression of it. It is also the first form learned in Wun Hop Kuen Do. Overtime, his flow will get better.

  • Hau kuen? What is that? These are the palama sets 1, 2 and 3 from KAJUKENBO. That's not monkey style! In fact it seems to me that he's got the kajukenbo anagram on his T-shirt.

  • Yes these are the Palama sets. In the Wun Hop Kuen Do Kung Fu System, the Palama sets were modified and called Hau Kuen (monkey form, not monkey style). Wun Hop Kuen Do was founded by Sifu Al Dacascos who was a student of Adriano Emperado of the Kajukenbo System. I learned the 70's version taught by Dacascos to my Sifu. The form has evolved much since then as far as hand positioning and foot work. Usually it is finished off with a fourth section which is in a stationary position. Peace!

  • Good expression. I like to see the difference between Monkey form from School to school. Yeah, stances could be a lot lower. But it is a hard style, and I guess most hard styles are performed in higher stances.

  • i saw no monkey style. but it was good

  • Nice...good power and form. just one critique, stances should be lower, especially horse.

  • Hmm...

  • Thanks!

For those who are not familiar with the Hau Kuen, at 00:44 I do a move which does not belong there, hence it being messed up ...

  • your moves look tight.

  • the same form did i on a competion ^^ i got the 2. rank^^
