  • Good episode. Just sad to see another classic shipped overseas.

  • enegine must be half-dead; my 300hp 5.7l 77 Caprice wagon w- 2.73 rear ran high 15s

  • I would buy that and add a Smokin' Duck hood ornament, then drive around with a huge grin on my face happier than a pig in shit!

  • i am amazed to see that this car aqually has vented disk brakes up front. Not bad for a car that old.

  • @jfv65 most American cars had them in the 60s

  • drive it propperly and ull probably get 15's

  • US car need change back to UK Sit?

  • More like thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis!

  • @Strictrap YES SIR! :)

  • is it just me or at 4:58 does that look like a charger III in the background (blue car), I know that a few were made from the mold which Mr.Norms bought from Dodge, so could it be?!?

  • thanks so much for posting this!!!!

  • They love the charger, but they haven't heard of a hurst shifter. Smh

  • @8:58 oh god that sound!!! :O

  • He bought it for about 15000 pounds, sold it for 20k, and made a profit of 1840 pounds.

So the trip to the us and back, rent a car, sleep in hotels, buying parts, transport and shipping cost to the UK, unloading and handling fees and taxes on import, etc, did only cost 3160 pounds?

  • @3DPeter Yeah . The car was 14000 Pounds .Travel Expenses wich it the , well, travel , was 1000 Pounds , including the sleep in the hotel , though i think he choose a flight to land there that very morning , but even if not so for 1 night it can't be that much . I would have rented a car and sleep in it :) only not to pay it for the few hours till morning . BTW , the ticked was cheep , cuz from here (RO) its 746 Pounds till Houston , so from UK its cheaper . Cheers

  • Why would you take of the entire diksbrake caliper? Just get a piece of rope and tie the caliper to the car, and you don't need to bleed the system again.

And what's up with the gay orange gloves? Everytime i see him wear those, i must think of my grandmother doing the dishes. Also it looks like Ed is the first mechanic who doesn't like to get his hands dirty. Someone should donate some real men like gloves, because he looks rediclious with those gayish orange ones.

  • Been looking for these usa episodes, and hd quality is superb thx man great upload

  • amazing car! charger and challenger are my favourites !

  • lol i have a 73 charger with a 454 :D

  • if someone came to my garage and check my cars whithout my permision , damn. i would kick his ass

  • Cool show. I feel bad for Mike though, that hillbilly ripped him off on those parts. Reman pump runs around $35 w/ core, Shackles $15 ea. (new)

  • Thank you for posting this video. I enjoyed it very much. \m/

  • Hmm. Really 375hp? 17 sec quarter mile. I'v got a car with a 1 litre 100hp engine thatdos it 2 secs faster.

  • @billiesubs but your 1 litre 100hp car has enough torque to rip tires like the charger does? the gearbox makes all the difference!

  • @aggbogdan Check my vids soon, will show you it frying tyres, thats all it wants to do :)

  • @billiesubs I doubt it. Your car must be very light...

  • @E34Benzin 530kg :)

  • @billiesubs Wow, that´s really ligh!! =)

But the concept is very different. The Charger weights 2.000kg, and you can´t compare it with a Lotus Exige for example. Both are great, their own way...

  • @billiesubs I have exactly such a '70 Charger R/T with the 440 engine (4 bbl not a Sx-Pack). It was ground up restored and the engine was completely redone (to original specs). It did the quartermile in 14 dead on stock Goodyear Polyglass tires. Best time in '70 was a 13.3 on stock tires. Did a Dyno run with 411 bhp and 480 lbs-ft torque.

And sorry, I was born on the strip and no... you can't do a 15 sec. time with a 100 hp car, even if it weighs less than 2.000 lbs and has slicks on it ;-)

  • @DodgeChallenger426 I have done 15.1 . Guess you have never heard of a suzuki mighty boy? 530kg. supercharged 4 cylinder in mine. Thats just stock engine from donor car, original engine is 550cc 3 cylinder 30hp. Big increase, hoping to get 200hp, will brake into 13s with that. power to weight is whats important. At 200hp im at around 400hp per tonne, thats double your charger :)

  • @billiesubs Oh okay, I have to say that's quite nice. But not really relevant to this vid. A stock car from 1970 which weighs almost 2 tonnes does a 13.3. Well that's pretty solid isn't it? Do some minor changes (carburetor, headers and slicks) and you're going up into the 12s.

You better compare those figures to "normal" cars, and not 530 kg go karts...

  • @billiesubs even if you're not full of it, that Charger is not near its power ceiling. Your sardine can car most likely is (again, assuming you're not full of it and the power ceiling isn't lower than 200). It won't take an owner of a Charger much effort to blow your doors off if they REALLY wanted to.

screw power to weight, the Charger has presence and character to boot, its just plain cooler. I'll have it over a turbo'd Swift or whatever else 4cylinder car anyday.

  • @JSSJeepin Hmm google suzuki mighty boy. Im sorry, no charger choses weather they keep up with me. Power to weight. My car has pressence, negative camber, inches off the ground, handles like a go cart, its just a project car too, my daily is a mk2 ecort :) cant say that doesnt have pressence. Charger would not get half the looks my mighty boy gets.

  • I find it funny, that every time Mike drives up to the garage. It is like Edd's living there. He's just always present.

  • @petervandoorn92

He has a hidden explosive collar around his neck that doesn't permit him 100 feet from the building unless Mike says so.

  • @petervandoorn92 Yeah , i was thinking the same think . Even if he give Edd a call and its there , it still takes 1-2 min to get it to the door but every time he horn , Edd opening the door that exactly sec :)

  • :O full ep is hd , YOU the man

  • @mauss1986 ;D

  • cool.. to bad they didn't drop a tremec in there lol :P

  • @BMan100 haha , yeah.. :P

  • @antonelraai I mean the 6spd units just drop and bolt right up lol so why not? lol close to 30 MPG with those cars if you tune and drive em right

  • Thx man! share it with friends :D

  • Thanks for the upload. Much appreciated :)
